Compact Balanced Bandpass Filter Based on Equilateral Triangular Patch Resonator

IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems II: Express Briefs, 2022
In this letter, a new balanced bandpass filter based on equilateral triangular patch resonator (ETPR) is presented. By introducing rectangular slot in the middle of the ETPR, TM10 mode can be controlled for miniaturization of design and separated away from disturbed mode near the passband for decent performance.

A balanced dual-band tunable bandpass filter

2018 International Applied Computational Electromagnetics Society Symposium (ACES), 2018
This paper presents a balanced tunable non-resonating node (NRN) based dual-band filter which produces a bandpass response under differential mode (DM) and a wide stopband under common mode (CM) excitation. Using one uniform impedance resonator and two assymetrical stepped impedance resonators (SIR) for CM operation, a flat stopband with five ...

Balanced bandpass filter based on square patch resonators

2015 12th International Conference on Telecommunication in Modern Satellite, Cable and Broadcasting Services (TELSIKS), 2015
This paper proposes a novel balanced bandpass filter that consists of square patch resonators with rectangular slots. The behaviour of the square patch resonator is analysed in detail and its ability for application in balanced filters is discussed. A bandpass balanced filter operating at 1.8 GHz has been designed.

Balanced bandpass filter with spurious mode suppression

Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2017
ABSTRACTThis article presents a new and simple design approach for the balanced bandpass filter (BPF) with spurious mode suppression using half‐wavelength resonators. The second harmonic of the resonator, acting as the lowest‐frequency common‐mode (CM) noise, is suppressed by using a new differential feeding scheme. Furthermore, an electrically coupled

High Performance Balanced Bandpass Filters With Wideband Common Mode Suppression

IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems II: Express Briefs, 2021
Two compact and high selectivity balanced bandpass filters with excellent common mode rejection are designed in this brief. Compared with the half-wavelength microstrip transmission line, 180° phase shift is realized by two small swap structures, which are composed by double-sided parallel-strip line (DSPSL), and this way can easily realize a wideband ...

Tunable balanced bandpass filter with high common‐mode suppression

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 2015
This Letter presents a novel tunable balanced bandpass filter with high common‐mode (CM) suppression by using discriminating coupling. Four half‐wavelength resonators terminated with varactors are utilised to obtain the tunable responses. The high CM suppression is realised by discriminating coupling between feeding structures and resonators, which ...

Balanced-to-Balanced Gysel Power Divider With Bandpass Filtering Response

IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, 2013
In this paper, the balanced-to-balanced Gysel power divider is proposed with bandpass filtering response for the first time. The component is based on a ring structure and designed with an extended coupled-resonator circuit model. The characteristic impedances, electrical lengths, and isolation resistance are calculated analytically by our derived ...

Capacitor-Loaded Coupled Line Balanced Bandpass Filter

2020 IEEE MTT-S International Wireless Symposium (IWS), 2020
Balanced bandpass filter has been applied widely in modern communication systems due to their ability of differential-mode filtering function and common-mode suppression. For the balanced bandpass filter, compact size becomes essential with the increasing requirement of system miniaturization.

Compact microstrip balanced bandpass filter with adjustable transmission zeros

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 2019
A compact microstrip balanced bandpass filter (BPF) with a pair of adjustable transmission zeros (TZs) and a common mode suppression of over 20 dB in a frequency range of >2.42 f 0 by using the mixed electromagnetic coupling technology has been developed. The filter TZs
