Modeling hepatic fibrosis in TP53 knockout iPSC‐derived human liver organoids
This study developed iPSC‐derived human liver organoids with TP53 gene knockout to model human liver fibrosis. These organoids showed elevated myofibroblast activation, early disease markers, and advanced fibrotic hallmarks. The use of profibrotic differentiation medium further amplified the fibrotic signature seen in the organoids.

Repdigits as Products of Consecutive Balancing or Lucas-Balancing Numbers
Repdigits are natural numbers formed by the repetition of a single digit. In this paper, we explore the presence of repdigits in the product of consecutive balancing or Lucas-balancing numbers.

Aggressive prostate cancer is associated with pericyte dysfunction
Tumor‐produced TGF‐β drives pericyte dysfunction in prostate cancer. This dysfunction is characterized by downregulation of some canonical pericyte markers (i.e., DES, CSPG4, and ACTA2) while maintaining the expression of others (i.e., PDGFRB, NOTCH3, and RGS5).

Screening for lung cancer: A systematic review of overdiagnosis and its implications
Low‐dose computed tomography (CT) screening for lung cancer may increase overdiagnosis compared to no screening, though the risk is likely low versus chest X‐ray. Our review of 8 trials (84 660 participants) shows added costs. Further research with strict adherence to modern nodule management strategies may help determine the extent to which ...

MODELING OF THE MACHINE FOR THE BALANCING OF THE ROTOR IN THE ANSYS SOFTWARE COMPLEX
An imbalance appears during the manufacture, operation and maintenance of power equipment. The rotor imbalance arises due to the unbalanced masses of the rotor which leads to the emergence of variable loads on the supports and bending of the rotor.

A mouse model for vascular normalization and a human breast cancer cohort were studied to understand the relationship between vascular leakage and tumor immune suppression. For this, endothelial and immune cell RNAseq, staining for vascular function, and immune cell profiling were employed.

Cytoplasmic p21 promotes stemness of colon cancer cells via activation of the NFκB pathway
Cytoplasmic p21 promotes colorectal cancer stem cell (CSC) features by destabilizing the NFκB–IκB complex, activating NFκB signaling, and upregulating BCL‐xL and COX2. In contrast to nuclear p21, cytoplasmic p21 enhances spheroid formation and stemness transcription factor CD133.

Active Charge Equalizer of Li-Ion Battery Cells Using Double Energy Carriers
In this work, a new active balancing circuit is proposed. This circuit consists of a cell-access network and an energy-transfer network. The cell-access network requires 2n + 6 switches, where n is the number of cells, and creates an energy-transfer path

On Second Order Gap Balancing Numbers [PDF]
We consider the Diophantine equation1k+2k+⋯+x-1k=x+2k+x+3k+⋯+x+rkfor some natural numbersx, k, andr, and we call2x+1askth order 2-gap balancing number. It was also proved that there are infinitely many first order 2-gap balancing numbers. In this paper, we show that the only second order 2-gap balancing number is 1.
