Balanitis xerotica obliterans involving anterior urethra
Urology, 1979Balanitis xerotica obliterans (BXO) is known to affect the urethral meatus, glans, and prepuce. We describe a case of biopsy-proved BXO that involves not only the usual areas but the anterior urethra as well. Of added interest is the subsequent development of squamous cell carcinoma in the fossa navicularis. The literature is reviewed.

Penile carcinoma arising in balanitis xerotica obliterans
International Journal of STD & AIDS, 2006Squamous cell carcinoma of the penis is an uncommon cancer, though in one study it accounted for 90% of all penile cancers. Its association with balanitis xerotica obliterans (BXO) is a rare though recognized occurrence. We describe a case of a 46-year-old Caucasian male who first presented to our open-access clinic with a mild phimosis.

URETHRAL INVOLVEMENT IN BALANITIS XEROTICA OBLITERANS
British Journal of Urology, 1970SUMMARY Four cases of balanitis xerotica obliterans involving the urethra resulting in stricture formation are described. Involvement of the urethra has not previously been emphasised. These patients were cured by urethroplasty.
