Laser‐Textured Field‐Engineered Interface for Robust Dry‐Processed Cathodes in Lithium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
Laser‐patterned dry electrodes applied to current collectors could serve as a promising alternative to the limitations of conventional dry electrodes. Laser technology provides a fast and simple method to enhance the surface roughness of current collectors, improving the adhesion at the electrode–current collector interface.

heavy-ball-lean: Formal Proofs for Heavy Ball Linear Convergence in Lean 4

open access: yes
`heavy-ball-lean` is a Lean 4 / Mathlib library formalising a certified convergence argument for the heavy ball method, also known as Polyak momentum. The library works over a real inner product space, packages smoothness and strong-convexity assumptions, defines the classical constant parameters, records a momentum update and Lyapunov energy, and ...

Harnessing Thin‐Film Solid‐State Electrolytes: Enabling Breakthroughs in All‐Solid‐State Batteries

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
Schematic illustration highlighting the advantages of transitioning from traditional thick solid‐state electrolytes (SSEs) to thin‐film SSEs. Thinning the electrolyte enables higher ionic conductivity, reduced interfacial polarization, improved flexibility, compact electrode contact, and enhanced energy density, offering a promising pathway toward high‐

Enhanced Urea Oxidation Reaction by Mn‐Doped Nickel Hydroxide From Wastewater

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
Mn incorporation modifies the hydroxide structure and modulates the electronic properties of the Ni centers, promoting the formation of catalytically active NiOOH species. Mn dopants induce a favorable electronic effect but do not directly participate in the UOR mechanism, enhancing the overall urea oxidation rate and resulting in increased hydrogen ...

Constructing Policy (In)coherence in Germany's Energy Transition and Impacts on (In)equality

open access: yesEnvironmental Policy and Governance, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Policy coherence is widely regarded as essential for achieving sustainable development, climate targets, and reducing inequality, as reflected in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Recent scholarship has moved beyond technocratic approaches, drawing on comparative politics, particularly the “3 I's” of ideas, interests, and ...
