A Novel Combined Method for Measuring the Three-Dimensional Rotational Angle of a Spherical Joint
To improve the measurement accuracy of the three-dimensional rotation angle of a spherical joint, a novel approach is proposed in this study, which combines magnetic detection by a Hall sensor and surface feature identification by an eddy current sensor.

Elbow and knee joint for hard space suits [PDF]
An elbow or knee joint for a hard space suit or similar usage is formed of three serially connected rigid sections which have truncated spherical configurations. The ends of each section form solid geometric angles, and the sections are interconnected by

On a q-analog of the Wallach-Okounkov formula [PDF]
We obtain a $q$-analog of the well known Wallach-Okounkov result on a joint spectrum of invariant differential operators with polynomial coefficients on a prehomogeneous vector space of complex $n \times n$-matrices.

An efficient NiOx HTL is successfully prepared by introducing MXene as an additive without further surface modification to fabricate high‐performance FASn0.5Pb0.5I3 perovskite solar cells. The introduction of MXene contributes to improved conductivity of NiOx, better aligned at NiOx/perovskite interfaces, and enhanced quality of perovskite films ...

Switching Between Continuum and Discrete States in a Continuum Robot With Dislocatable Joints
Rigid linkages allow robots to lift heavy loads but prevent them from gently stretching and bending their bodies. Continuum robots without rigid linkages have a wide range of motion, safety, shape adaptability, and compliance.

Collision Times in Multicolor Urn Models and Sequential Graph Coloring With Applications to Discrete Logarithms [PDF]
Consider an urn model where at each step one of $q$ colors is sampled according to some probability distribution and a ball of that color is placed in an urn. The distribution of assigning balls to urns may depend on the color of the ball.

Gourd‐Inspired Design of Unit Cell with Multiple Gradients for Physiological‐Range Pressure Sensing
Gourd‐shaped micro‐dome arrays with coordinated modulus, conductivity, and geometric gradients co‐optimize sensitivity and linearity in piezoresistive tactile sensors. Under pressure, a solid upper dome embeds into a porous lower dome, triggering rapid contact‐area growth and series‐to‐parallel conduction, enabling unsaturated, intensity‐resolved ...

The Dynamics of Two Coupled Rigid Bodies [PDF]
In this paper we derive a Poisson bracket on the phase space so(3)^*x so(3)^*x SO(3) such that the dynamics of two three- dimensional rigid bodies coupled by a ball and socket joint can be written as a Hamiltonian ...

By mimicking the ion‐accelerating effect of ion channel receptors in neuron membranes, a biomaterials‐based ionic hydrogel (BIH) is developed, which offers a high ionic conductivity of 7.04 S m−1, outperforming conventional chitosan, cellulose, agarose, starch, and gelatin based ionic hydrogels.
