Decoupling Electronic–Ionic Transport and Catalysis Enables High‐Performance, Chemically Stable Sr‐Free Air Electrodes for High‐Temperature Solid Oxide Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A Sr‐free air electrode for high‐temperature solid oxide cells is designed by independently tailoring electronic conduction, ionic transport, and surface catalysis using complementary Sr‐free phases and infiltrated nanocatalysts. It delivers performance comparable to state‐of‐the‐art Sr‐containing electrodes while completely suppressing Cr‐induced ...

BALL MILL MODELS: THEIR EVOLUTION AND PRESENT STATUS.

open access: yes, 1986
The evolution of ball mill models from empirical energy-size reduction relationships to the modern mathematical models that describe the various comminution and material transport mechanisms is described.

Robust Stitching Interface and Deep Learning Empowered Hydrogel Human‐Machine Interface

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A molecular design strategy is presented that exploits synergistic carboxylate anion–quaternary ammonium interactions to simultaneously strengthen the hydrogel–PET interface and the bulk hydrogel network. Integrated with deep learning signal processing, the stable hydrogel–PET interface enables consistent signal acquisition and reliable human‐machine ...

Heat‐to‐Electricity Conversion Using Barium Strontium Titanate Multilayer Capacitors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Lead‐free barium strontium titanate multilayer capacitors convert waste heat into electricity via the Olsen electro‐thermodynamic cycle. These capacitors achieve an energy density of 3.7 J cm−3, comparable to the performance of lead‐based ceramics. Their high dielectric strength and broad operating temperature window below 100°C make them practical for

Enhancing Near‐Room‐Temperature Thermoelectric Performance of n‐Type Mg3(Sb, Bi)2‐Based Materials via ZrB2 Heterointerface Engineering

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A conductive ZrB2 ceramic composite strategy was developed for Mg3(Sb, Bi)2 thermoelectrics to regulate carrier transport and phonon scattering through heterointerface engineering. The 1.0 wt.% ZrB2 composite achieved enhanced room‐temperature performance, with a power factor of 28.51 µW cm−1 K−2 and a peak ZT of 1.22 at 573 K.

Fusing Direct and Indirect Measurements Through Multi‐Fidelity Learning For Accelerated Electrocaloric Materials Discovery

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A multi‐fidelity framework integrates sparse direct and abundant indirect electrocaloric measurements. Multi‐objective active learning accelerates BaTiO3‐based electrocaloric materials discovery at –70∘C$^{\circ }{\rm C}$. A diffuse transition enables an electrocaloric strength of 0.06×$\times$10−6 Km/V at –70℃ with an operational temperature span of ...
