Direct Measurement of Explosive Impulse From Contact to the Ultra‐Near Field
ABSTRACT Measurement of impulse from explosive charges in contact and ultra‐near‐field regimes remains poorly characterised due to the short duration of loading, high strain rates, and the difficulty of obtaining direct momentum‐based measurements.

Nitrogen-Rich 5,5'-Azotetrazolates: A Broad Spectrum of Technologically Accessible Gas-Generating Pyrotechnic Materials. [PDF]
A series of ten 5,5′‐azotetrazolate salts with nitrogen‐rich bases is prepared and assessed as technologically accessible gas‐generating materials. Structural, safety, and ballistic evaluations reveal several compounds combining high bulk density, acceptable sensitivities, and favorable gas‐generation performance, highlighting the potential of ...

The high‐strain‐rate behavior of resistance spot‐welded DP800–DP1000 joints is investigated. Results show that microstructural gradients across BM–HAZ–FZ govern hardness, strain rate sensitivity, and failure modes. While strength increases with strain rate, energy absorption is controlled by ductility, with DP800–DP800 joints showing superior ...

Abstract This article argues that the current debate over defence spending in the United Kingdom is fundamentally flawed. Too much emphasis is being placed on preparing for a form of warfare with Russia that is unlikely to occur. As this article points out, the Russians actually want to avoid a traditional battlefield confrontation with NATO.
