Microswitches with Sputtered Au, AuPd,Au-on-AuPt, and AuPtCu Alloy Electric Contacts [PDF]
This paper is the first to report on a new analytic model for predicting microcontact resistance and the design, fabrication, and testing of microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) metal contact switches with sputtered bimetallic (i.e., gold (Au)-on-Au ...

Real time decoherence of Landau and Levitov quasi-particles in quantum Hall edge channels
Quantum Hall edge channels at integer filling factor provide a unique test-bench to understand decoherence and relaxation of single electronic excitations in a ballistic quantum conductor. In this Letter, we obtain a full visualization of the decoherence

Maximizing Neurovascular Outcomes of Facial Transplantation: A Comprehensive Review
ABSTRACT Facial transplantation is a division of reconstructive surgery which aims to improve the function and appearance of a face that has endured severe disfigurement. Currently, the face transplant procedure uses allogenic tissue, harvested from a brain‐dead donor, to replace damaged facial components.

Ultrafast Transitions in X‐Ray Irradiated Solids
ABSTRACT In this review, we present current developments on modeling ultrafast transitions in solids triggered by intense, atto‐ to femtosecond pulses from X‐ray free electron lasers. This specific irradiation regime requires dedicated simulation tools based on theoretical and computational methods, involving the elements of classical and quantum ...

Time-reversal Characteristics of Quantum Normal Diffusion
This paper concerns with the time-reversal characteristics of intrinsic normal diffusion in quantum systems. Time-reversible properties are quantified by the time-reversal test; the system evolved in the forward direction for a certain period is time ...

Multi‐Dimensional Conductive Nanocomposites for Flexible Electronics
Multi‐dimensional conductive nanocomposites integrate 0D, 1D, and 2D nanomaterials through spatial structure regulation and interface engineering, achieving “1 + 1 > 2” synergistic effects. By leveraging 0D filling to reduce contact resistance, 1D bridging to construct continuous conductive paths, and 2D supporting to enhance mechanical stability ...

Performance of a UTC FW-4S solid propellant rocket motor under the command effects of simulated altitude and rotational spin [PDF]
One United Technology Center FW-4S solid-propellant rocket motor was fired at an average simulated altitude of 103,000 ft while spinning about its axial centerline at 180 rpm. The objectives of the test program were to determine motor altitude ballistic
