Sensing the sky's edge: Atmospheric insights into the Korean demilitarised zone

open access: yesArea, Volume 58, Issue 1, March 2026.
Short Abstract In this paper, I demonstrate that novel and creative ‘atmospheric methods’ not only provide us with a means of overcoming difficulties around access to border spaces, but also more importantly afford us new insights into how atmospherically attuned things and the materialities of weather become entangled with and produce border ...

Instability of Oculomotor Control in Parkinson's Disease Without Freezing of Gait: Evidence From Reflexive and Voluntary Saccade Variability

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Neuroscience, Volume 63, Issue 6, March 2026.
This study found that people with Parkinson's disease without freezing of gait show higher error rate and peak velocity to amplitude ratio during prosaccade task compared to controls. Also, Parkinson patients show more variation in gain, peak velocity, peak acceleration and peak velocity to amplitude ratio compared to control group.

Al‐Khadhaf: The first camera‐observed (H5–6) meteorite fall from Oman

open access: yesMeteoritics &Planetary Science, Volume 61, Issue 3, Page 522-547, March 2026.
Abstract A fireball camera system installed in 2022 by the Oman Meteorite Monitoring Project (OMMP) as part of the Global Fireball Observatory (GFO) recorded a 3.2 s fireball on March 8, 2022 at 8:15 p.m. UTC. A meteoroid of 4 ± 2 kg entered the atmosphere at 14.0 km/s.

Seed pretreatment length when producing seeds for restoration may impact seed dormancy in offspring

open access: yesRestoration Ecology, Volume 34, Issue 3, March 2026.
Abstract Introduction Seed dormancy regulates germination timing to improve seedling survival. Many temperate species produce physiologically dormant seeds, requiring winter conditions (i.e. moist‐cold stratification) to overcome dormancy. Exposing seeds to suboptimal stratification lengths for restoration may alter genetic diversity and/or ...

Correlates of Maximal Driver Club Head Speed in Elite Male and Female Golfers: The Role of Maximal Muscle Strength, Power, and Anthropometry

open access: yesScandinavian Journal of Medicine &Science in Sports, Volume 36, Issue 3, March 2026.
ABSTRACT This study examined associations between driver club head speed (dCHS) and strength, power, and anthropometric measures in elite golfers, analyzed in males and females. Forty‐one golfers (22 males, 19 females), including PGA and LPGA Tour professionals, completed a standardized test battery comprising golf swing testing (TrackMan launch ...

Correlated amplitudes of potentials evoked in homologous muscles by magnetic stimulation reveal positive covariation of corticospinal output

open access: yesExperimental Physiology, Volume 111, Issue 3, Page 1299-1312, 1 March 2026.
Abstract figure There is positive covariation in the amplitudes of motor evoked potentials (MEPs) generated by (near simultaneous) stimulation of the two motor cortices. That is, larger responses to stimulation of the left motor cortex tend to be accompanied by larger responses to stimulation of the right motor cortex, and smaller responses to ...
