Computer analysis of ballistocardiograms

Abstract Analysis of ballistocardiograms using a small scientific digital computer is described. Two steps in processing the body accelerations and concurrent carotid pulses are employed. Desired sequences of heartbeats are selected from data recorded on FM analog magnetic tape. These are digitized and stored permanently on Linc digital magnetic tape.

Ballistocardiogram during paralysis with succinylcholine

Abstract Ballistocardiograms were recorded on 3 subjects coupled to an ultralow-frequency ballistocardiograph by shoulder straps and totally paralyzed with succinylcholine. In 2 of the subjects, only minor changes from the control record were noted.
