BALLOON MITRAL VALVULOPLASTY : SIZING THE BALLOON

open access: yesINTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH, 2020
The decrease of the incidence of rheumatic heart disease in developed countries had already begun in 1910, and it is now below 1.0 per 100 000. On the other hand, the occurrence rate of rheumatic heart disease in developing countries remains substantial.

Stellarex Drug-Coated Balloon for Treatment of Femoropopliteal Disease

open access: yesCirculation, 2017
Background: Drug-coated balloons (DCBs) are a predominant revascularization therapy for symptomatic femoropopliteal artery disease. Because of the differences in excipients, paclitaxel dose, and coating morphologies, varying clinical outcomes have been ...

Modeling hepatic fibrosis in TP53 knockout iPSC‐derived human liver organoids

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study developed iPSC‐derived human liver organoids with TP53 gene knockout to model human liver fibrosis. These organoids showed elevated myofibroblast activation, early disease markers, and advanced fibrotic hallmarks. The use of profibrotic differentiation medium further amplified the fibrotic signature seen in the organoids.

Hydraulic dissection technique during endoscopic sinus surgery using a novel balloon sinus dilation device

open access: yesLaryngoscope Investigative Otolaryngology, 2021
Background More than a decade after its introduction, some rhinologic surgeons have incorporated the technique of balloon sinus dilation (BSD) technology into “hybrid” endoscopic sinus surgery (ESS) procedures. A novel BSD device which can be placed over

No Superiority of Stents vs Balloon Dilatation for Dominant Strictures in Patients With Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis.

open access: yesGastroenterology, 2018
BACKGROUND & AIMS Dominant strictures occur in approximately 50% of patients with primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC). Short-term stents have been reported to produce longer resolution of dominant strictures than single-balloon dilatation.
