Phylogenetic analyses confirm the taxonomic placement of these species within Coccinellini.

Peloropeodinae (Diptera: Dolichopodidae) from Baltic amber
Caucasian Entomological Bulletin, 2018 The Baltic amber genus Palaeomedeterus Meunier, 1894 (Diptera: Dolichopodidae) is redescribed and assigned to the subfamily Peloropeodinae. The genus Gheynia Meunier, 1899, syn. n. is placed in synonymy with Palaeomedeterus. Palaeochrysotus ignavus Meunier, 1907 is designated as the type species of Palaeomedeterus.

Journal of Systematics and Evolution, Volume 64, Issue 2, Page 354-362, March 2026.We report a new clambid beetle from mid‐Cretaceous Kachin amber, Scutacalyptus kolibaci gen. et sp. nov., characterized by a flattened body and explanate margins. Alongside spiny and conglobating clambid forms, this diversity reflects niche partitioning and varied antipredator strategies in the Cretaceous forest floor.
