Breeding Dispersal of Baltic Dunlins Is Not an Adaptive Response to Unpredictable Nest Flooding
Animal Conservation, EarlyView.Flood‐related nest losses of the Baltic dunlin (Calidris alpina schinzii) have drastically increased over the past two decades. Using 20 years of reproductive data from 184 individuals, we found that between‐year and within‐site dispersal tended to increase following nest failure in males.
