Reed bamboos drive skull shape evolution in bush frogs of the Western Ghats, Peninsular India
Our study highlights the key role of ecological opportunity as a driver of morphological evolution. We find that endemic bush frogs from a monophyletic group (Ochlandrae) which lives in the bamboo internodes. They have skull shapes different to non‐bamboo frogs.
