Existence and Uniqueness of Mild Solutions to Impulsive Nonlocal Cauchy Problems
In this paper, a class of nonlocal impulsive differential equation with conformable fractional derivative is studied. By utilizing the theory of operators semigroup and fractional derivative, a new concept on a solution for our problem is introduced.

U ovom završnom radu prvo ćemo obraditi potpune metričke prostore i popratiti nekim primjerima, a zatim ćemo iskazati i dokazati čuveni Banachov teorem o fiksnoj točki.

The Optimal Mean–Variance Selling Problem With Finite Horizon
ABSTRACT The optimal mean–variance selling problem seeks to determine a dynamically optimal stopping time in the nonlinear problem sup0≤τ≤TE(Xτ)−cVar(Xτ)$\sup _{0 \le \tau \le T} \left[ \mathsf {E}\,\!(X_\tau) - c\, \mathsf {V}ar\,\!(X_\tau) \right]$, where X$X$ is a geometric Brownian motion with strictly positive drift, the supremum is taken over ...

The Natural Components of a Regular Linear System
ABSTRACT The analysis of a finite‐dimensional regular linear system may be simplified by separating the system into its natural components. The natural components are smaller linear systems on separate subspaces whose dimensions sum to the dimension of the original linear system.

We explore the existence, uniqueness, and multiplicity of positive solutions to a system of fractional q-difference equations that include fractional q-integrals. This investigation is carried out under coupled multi-point boundary conditions featuring q-

Existence Results of Initial Value Problems for Hybrid Fractional Sum-Difference Equations
We consider a hybrid fractional sum-difference initial value problem and a hybrid fractional sequential sum-difference initial value problem. The existence results of these two problems are proved by using the hybrid fixed point theorem for three ...

U ovom završnom radu rećićemo nešto o Banachovom kontrakcijskom principu koji je poznat pod imenom Banachovom teorem o fiksnoj točki. Denirat ćemo potpunost metrič- kih prostora i navesti neke primjere.

The Mathematical History Behind the Granger–Johansen Representation Theorem
ABSTRACT When can a vector time series that is integrated once (i.e., becomes stationary after taking first differences) be described in error correction form? The answer to this is provided by the Granger–Johansen representation theorem. From a mathematical point of view, the theorem can be viewed as essentially a statement concerning the geometry of ...

Fixed-Point Theorem for Isometric Self-Mappings
In this paper, we derive a fixed-point theorem for self-mappings. That is, it is shown that every isometric self-mapping on a weakly compact convex subset of a strictly convex Banach space has a fixed ...
