Microstructure‐Induced Finite‐Speed Heat Propagation in Fluids Through Porous Media: Analytical Results

open access: yesStudies in Applied Mathematics, Volume 155, Issue 4, October 2025.
ABSTRACT In nonisothermal setting, microstructural interactions may determine finite‐speed heat propagation. We consider such an effect in the dynamics of a viscous incompressible complex fluid (i.e., one with “active” microstructure) through a porous medium.

Property (T) for groups acting on affine buildings

open access: yesBulletin of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 57, Issue 10, Page 3151-3162, October 2025.
Abstract We prove that a group acting geometrically on a thick affine building has property (T). A more general criterion for property (T) is given for groups acting on partite complexes.

On Some Properties of Banach Space-Valued Fibonacci Sequence Spaces

open access: yesCommunications in Advanced Mathematical Sciences
In this work, we give some results about the basic properties of the vector-valued Fibonacci sequence spaces. In general, sequence spaces with Banach space-valued cannot have a Schauder Basis unless the terms of the sequences are complex or real terms ...

Lipschitz measures and vector-valued Hardy spaces

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2001
We define certain spaces of Banach-valued measures called Lipschitz measures. When the Banach space is a dual space X*, these spaces can be identified with the duals of the atomic vector-valued Hardy spaces HXp(ℝn ...

On the undefinability of Tsirelson's space and its descendants

open access: yes, 2019
We prove that Tsirelson's space cannot be defined explicitly from the classical Banach sequence spaces. We also prove that any Banach space that is explicitly definable from a class of spaces that contain $\ell_p$ or $c_0$ must contain $\ell_p$ or $c_0 ...

SHIFTS ON BANACH SPACES

open access: yesDemonstratio Mathematica, 1997
Let \(X\) be an infinite-dimensional complex Banach space, and let \(T\) be a bounded linear operator defined on \(X\) satisfying \(\dim T^{- 1}(0)= 0\), \(\dim X/T(X)= 1\) and \(\bigcap^\infty_{n= 1}T^n(X)= \{0\}\). Such an operator is known as a shift [\textit{R. M. Crownover}, Mich. Math. J. 19, 233-247 (1972; Zbl 0228.47016)]. If \(x_0\) is a fixed

Factorizations and minimality of the Calkin Algebra norm for C(K)$C(K)$‐spaces

open access: yesJournal of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 112, Issue 4, October 2025.
Abstract For a scattered, locally compact Hausdorff space K$K$, we prove that the essential norm on the Calkin algebra B(C0(K))/K(C0(K))$\mathcal {B}(C_0(K))/\mathcal {K}(C_0(K))$ is a minimal algebra norm. The proof relies on establishing a quantitative factorization for the identity operator on c0$c_0$ through noncompact operators T:C0(K)→X$T: C_0(K)

Stability Of a Quadratic Functional Equation in Intuitionistic Fuzzy Banach Spaces

open access: yesJournal of New Results in Science, 2016
Hyers-Ulam-Rassias stability theorem has been applied to several functional equations for studying stability in caseof approximation of a given functional equation in Banach spaces, fuzzy Banach spaces etc.
