Cone metric spaces with Banach algebras and fixed point theorems of generalized Lipschitz mappings
In this paper we introduce the concept of cone metric spaces with Banach algebras, replacing Banach spaces by Banach algebras as the underlying spaces of cone metric spaces.

Improved Gevrey‐1 Estimates of Formal Series Expansions of Center Manifolds
ABSTRACT In this paper, we show that the coefficients ϕn$\phi _n$ of the formal series expansions ∑n=1∞ϕnxn∈xC[[x]]$\sum _{n=1}^\infty \phi _n x^n\in x\mathbb {C}[[x]]$ of center manifolds of planar analytic saddle‐nodes grow like Γ(n+a)$\Gamma (n+a)$ (after rescaling x$x$) as n→∞$n\rightarrow \infty$.

Free Banach lattices over pre-ordered Banach spaces [PDF]
We define the free Banach lattice over a pre-ordered Banach space in a category of Banach lattices of a given convexity type, and show its existence. The subsumption of a pre-ordering necessitates an approach that differs fundamentally from the known one for the free Banach lattice over a Banach space under a given convexity condition, which is a ...

Weakly Lindelof determined Banach spaces not containing $\ell^1(N)$ [PDF]
The class of countably intersected families of sets is defined. For any such family we define a Banach space not containing $\ell^{1}(\NN )$. Thus we obtain counterexamples to certain questions related to the heredity problem for W.C.G. Banach spaces. Among them we give a subspace of a W.C.G.

Forward-Backward Splitting Methods for Accretive Operators in Banach Spaces
Splitting methods have recently received much attention due to the fact that many nonlinear problems arising in applied areas such as image recovery, signal processing, and machine learning are mathematically modeled as a nonlinear operator equation and

Conditional Aalen–Johansen estimation
Abstract The conditional Aalen–Johansen estimator, a general‐purpose nonparametric estimator of conditional state occupation probabilities, is introduced. The estimator is applicable for any finite‐state jump process and supports conditioning on external as well as internal covariate information.

Mordukhovich derivatives of the normalized duality mapping in Banach spaces [PDF]
In this paper, we investigate some properties of the Mordukhovich derivatives of the normalized duality mapping in Banach spaces. For the underlying spaces, we consider three cases: uniformly convex and uniformly smooth Banach space lp; general Banach spaces L1 and C[0,1].

Coarse embeddings into superstable spaces [PDF]
Krivine and Maurey proved in 1981 that every stable Banach space contains almost isometric copies of $\ell_p$, for some $p\in[1,\infty)$. In 1983, Raynaud showed that if a Banach space uniformly embeds into a superstable Banach space, then $X$ must contain an isomorphic copy of $\ell_p$, for some $p\in[1,\infty)$.

ABSTRACT We study a class of models for nonlinear acoustics, including the well‐known Westervelt and Kuznetsov equations, as well as a model of Rasmussen that can be seen as a thermodynamically consistent modification of the latter. Using linearization, energy estimates, and fixed‐point arguments, we establish the existence and uniqueness of solutions ...
