Effect of Na doping on the performance and the band alignment of CZTS/CdS thin film solar cell

, 2020
Alkali doping can suppress deleterious antisite defects in kesterite Cu2ZnSnS4 (CZTS) and improve the open-circuit voltage. In this study, the effects of light Na-doping on the performance and the band alignment of CZTS/CdS thin-film solar cells were ...

Band Alignment Engineering in Two-Dimensional Lateral Heterostructures

Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2018
Two-dimensional (2D) heterostructures have aroused widespread attentions due to the fascinating properties originating from the interfaces and the derived potential applications in modern electronics and optoelectronics. The interfacial band alignment engineering of 2D heterostructures would open up promising routes toward the flexible design and ...

Aligning two sequences within a specified diagonal band

Bioinformatics, 1992
We describe an algorithm for aligning two sequences within a diagonal band that requires only O(NW) computation time and O(N) space, where N is the length of the shorter of the two sequences and W is the width of the band. The basic algorithm can be used to calculate either local or global alignment scores.

Correlation between quantized-alignment and identical-band mechanisms

Physical Review C, 1994
The problem of nuclear rotation treated within the framework of the two-dimensional cranking and particles-rotor Hamiltonians is solved in the many-body space for a deformed single-j shell configuration with pairing. The properties of ``identical'' (twinned) bands in neighboring, in particular, odd and even systems are studied.

Band alignment at the La2Hf2O7∕(001)Si interface

Applied Physics Letters, 2006
In the perspective of exploring alternative gate dielectrics for the future generation of microelectronic devices, we investigated experimentally and theoretically the interface energy barriers induced on (001) silicon by La2Hf2O7, whose growth has been recently attained by molecular-beam epitaxy.

HAXPES Measurements of Heterojunction Band Alignment

2015
Heterojunctions, the abrupt change of materials at interfaces, are an integral feature of modern electronic devices. The alignment of electronic energy levels at a heterojunction can be used to tailor charge transfer across the interface, for example to improve carrier injection or to block leakage current.

Quantum-dot intermediate-band solar cells with inverted band alignment

Physica E: Low-dimensional Systems and Nanostructures, 2008
The intermediate-band concept was proposed over a decade ago as a possible route to increase the efficiency of single-junction solar cells. Despite a number of experimental attempts to realize this concept, no efficiency improvement over conventional single-junction solar cells has so far been demonstrated.
