Chameleon sequences reveal structural effects in proteins representing micelle‐like distribution of hydrophobicity

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Amino acids sequence of two different proteins with the same sequence (chameleon sequence—black boxes) represent in 3D structure of the proteins different secondary structures: HHHH—helical and BBB—Beta‐structural. The chains folded in water environment adopt different III‐order structures in which the chameleon fragments appear to adopt similar status

Small-Size Meandered Loop Antenna for WLAN Dongle Devices

open access: yesInternational Journal of Antennas and Propagation, 2014
This paper proposes a loop-type USB dongle antenna, which is fabricated on a 1.6 mm thick FR-4 substrate for WLAN band systems. The front side of substrate consists of a 50-ohm coaxial line and a multiarm monopole antenna, while the back side has a ...

Anomalous Hall effect in single-band chiral superconductors from impurity superlattices

open access: yesPhysical Review Research, 2020
Unlike anomalous quantum Hall insulators, clean single-band chiral superconductors do not exhibit intrinsic Hall effect at the one-loop approximation.

A Quantized Inter-level Character in Quantum Systems

open access: yes, 2017
For a quantum system subject to external parameters, the Berry phase is an intra-level property, which is gauge invariant module $2\pi$ for a closed loop in the parameter space and generally is non-quantized. In contrast, we define a inter-band character

The Aging Blood: Cellular Origins, Circulating Drivers, and Therapeutic Potential

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
As a conduit linking all organs, the blood system both reflects and actively drives systemic aging. This review highlights how circulating pro‐aging and antiaging factors and age‐associated hematopoietic stem cell dysfunction contribute to immunosenescence and multi‐organ decline, positioning the hematopoietic system as a target for aging intervention.

Design of a Multiband Antenna for LTE/GSM/UMTS Band Operation

open access: yesInternational Journal of Antennas and Propagation, 2014
This paper proposes a multiband antenna for LTE/GSM/UMTS band operation. The proposed antenna consists of a meandered planar inverted-F antenna with an additional branch line for wide bandwidth and a folded-loop antenna.

Natural Products as Geroprotective Modulators in Diabetic Nephropathy: A Mechanistic Framework Integrating Aging Hallmarks and the AMPK–SIRT1–Nrf2 Axis

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
Natural products target the aging kidney in diabetic nephropathy by restoring the AMPK–SIRT1–Nrf2 axis, reducing oxidative stress, inflammation, fibrosis, and cellular senescence while enhancing mitochondrial biogenesis and antioxidant defenses.

Flexible meandered loop antenna for implants in MedRadio and ISM bands

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 2013
A flexible meandered loop antenna is proposed, designed and realised for small cylindrical implantable devices. This antenna covers the Medical Device Radiocommunications Service (MedRadio) and the 433–434 MHz industrial, scientific and medical (ISM) bands, and is probably the smallest reported flexible implantable antenna that covers these bands. This

Visual Recovery Reflects Cortical MeCP2 Sensitivity in Rett Syndrome

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Rett syndrome (RTT) is a devastating neurodevelopmental disorder with developmental regression affecting motor, sensory, and cognitive functions. Sensory disruptions contribute to the complex behavioral and cognitive difficulties and represent an important target for therapeutic interventions.
