Fiber reinforced composite loop space maintainer: An alternative to the conventional band and loop

open access: yesContemporary Clinical Dentistry, 2012
The stainless steel band and loop appliance is the most commonly used fixed space maintainer in pediatric dentistry. But there are several disadvantages with this appliance such as the need for a cast or a working model, decalcification of the abutment ...

Mirror Chern Bands and Weyl Nodal Loops in Altermagnets [PDF]

open access: greenPhysical Review Letters
The electronic spectra of altermagnets are a fertile ground for nontrivial topology due to the unique interplay between time-reversal and crystalline symmetries. This is reflected in the unconventional Zeeman splitting between bands of opposite spins, which emerges in the absence of spin-orbit coupling (SOC) and displays nodes along high-symmetry ...

Comparative Evaluation of Survival Rate Gingival Health and Patient's Acceptance of Conventional Band and Loop and Prefabricated Band and Loop in Primary Teeth: An In Vivo Study. [PDF]

open access: yesInt J Clin Pediatr Dent
To compare and evaluate the survival rate, gingival health, and patient acceptance of traditional band and loop (B&L) and company-made B&L space maintainers in deciduous teeth-an in vivo study.A total of 50 patients between 4 and 9 years of age-group, having loss of deciduous first molar in any of the arches, were included in the present study, which ...

Wilson-Loop-Ideal Bands and General Idealization [PDF]

open access: green
Quantum geometry is universally bounded from below by Wilson-loop windings. In this work, we define an isolated set of bands to be Wilson-loop-ideal, if their quantum metric saturates the Wilson-loop lower bound. The definition naturally incorporates the known Chern-ideal and Euler-ideal bands, and allows us to define other types of ideal bands, such ...

Effectiveness of traditional band and loop space maintainer vs 3D-printed space maintainer following the loss of primary teeth: a randomized clinical trial [PDF]

open access: yesScientific Reports
This study evaluates the efficacy of 3D-printed band and loop space maintainers (3D-BLSMs) to mitigate concerns caused by early primary tooth loss in children when compared to their conventional equivalents.

Compact dual‐band antenna using inverted‐L loop and inner rectangular loop for WLAN applications

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 2015
A small loop antenna for WLAN applications is proposed, which is comprised of an inverted‐L loop and an inner rectangular loop achieving dual‐band resonances within a compact size of 4.5 mm × 6.5 mm. A series capacitor in the feeding loop is employed for impedance matching of both bands and a shunt capacitor for high band, respectively.

Loop anchor tension band wiring for olecranon fractures reduces Kirschner wire migration rate: a retrospective comparative study [PDF]

open access: yesScientific Reports
The loop anchor tension band wiring (TBW) technique is employed for olecranon fractures and aims to reduce the Kirschner wire (K-wire) migration rate. This study compared the postoperative outcomes and complication rates of olecranon fractures treated ...

Design of S/X-Band Dual-Loop Shared-Aperture 2×2 Array Antenna [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Electromagnetic Engineering and Science, 2022
This article proposes the S/X band dual-loop shared-aperture 2 × 2 array antenna, which is constructed using a unit-cell having one S-band element stacked on 3 × 3 X-band elements.
