Sensitivities of Band-Edge Selectivities

Analog Integrated Circuits and Signal Processing, 1999
Many filters have a band-edge selectivity (BES) that is a function of parameters other than filter order. In these cases, the band-edge selectivity can be maximized without increasing the order of the filter. However, in increasing BES, we must keep track of the sensitivity of BES to the parameters.

Band Selection Through Redundancy Elimination

2013
In this chapter, we discuss a method for selection of a few specific bands to accomplish a faster fusion of hyperspectral images, without much sacrificing the quality of the result of fusion. We present an information theoretic strategy for choosing specific image bands of the hyperspectral data cube using only the input hyperspectral image.

Band Instrument Selection and Assignment

Update: Applications of Research in Music Education, 2016
This review of the literature examines the process of matching students with band instruments as presented in academic research journals and practitioner publications. While some directors may evaluate the potential impact of students’ physical characteristics such as lip size and shape, teeth and jaw structure, body build, and so forth, other sources

Dual band Frequency Selective Surface for X-band applications

2016 Progress in Electromagnetic Research Symposium (PIERS), 2016
In this paper, a novel dual band pass Frequency Selective Surface (FSS) is presented. The FSS is a L9 shaped structure with dimensions 7 Ă— 7mm2 and substrate thickness h = 0.762 mm. The proposed FSS aims to provide dual pass-bands in X-band. A stacked array FSS is also studied to broaden the transmission band of the structure.

Reconfigurable band rejection and band-pass frequency selective structures

2015 IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation & USNC/URSI National Radio Science Meeting, 2015
A new class of reconfigurable frequency selective structures (FSSs) is proposed to operate across a wide band of frequencies. Specifically, thick FSSs are proposed with several desirable properties, including sharp roll-offs for narrow rejections. Similar to multi-stage filters, this higher-order selectivity enables frequency and bandwidth control ...

Performance evaluation of band AMC using dynamic band selection

2014 International Symposium on Wireless Personal Multimedia Communications (WPMC), 2014
Adaptive Modulation and Coding (AMC) is one of key technologies in 4G system. Band AMC technique enables the Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) system to achieve their maximum throughput by efficient utilization of wireless channel characteristics.

HYBASE - HYperspectral BAnd SElection tool

2008
Band selection is essential in the design of multispectral sensor systems. This paper describes the TNO hyperspectral band selection tool HYBASE. It calculates the optimum band positions given the number of bands and the width of the spectral bands. HYBASE is used to calculate the minimum number of spectral bands that is required to get the best target
