Expanding the Genotype–Phenotype Correlation of Marden–Walker Syndrome due to PIEZO2 Gene Variants: A Case Report From Brazil

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, Volume 200, Issue 5, Page 1156-1161, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Marden–Walker syndrome (MWS; OMIM 248700) is an extremely rare congenital disorder characterized by multiple joint contractures, craniofacial dysmorphism, neurological abnormalities, and multisystem involvement. Although historically diagnosed on clinical grounds, only a few cases have been molecularly confirmed.

Multireference Alignment using Semidefinite Programming

open access: yes, 2013
The multireference alignment problem consists of estimating a signal from multiple noisy shifted observations. Inspired by existing Unique-Games approximation algorithms, we provide a semidefinite program (SDP) based relaxation which approximates the ...

Anxiolytic and Memory Protective Effects of Withanolide D Isolated From Acnistus arborescens in Adult Zebrafish

open access: yesChemistry &Biodiversity, Volume 23, Issue 5, May 2026.
Withanolide D Exhibits Anxiolytic and Memory‐Protective Effects. ABSTRACT This study evaluated the anxiolytic and memory‐protective effects of withanolide D in adult zebrafish (Danio rerio). The compound was administered at doses of 4, 20, and 40 mg/kg and showed no signs of toxicity after 96 h of observation at any of the doses tested.

Linear Boolean classification, coding and "the critical problem"

open access: yes, 2015
The problem of constructing a minimal rank matrix over GF(2) whose kernel does not intersect a given set S is considered. In the case where S is a Hamming ball centered at 0, this is equivalent to finding linear codes of largest dimension.

Taxonomy and diversity of Marcgraviaceae, north of the São Francisco river, northeast Brazil

open access: yesNordic Journal of Botany, Volume 2026, Issue 4, April 2026.
This study provides a comprehensive assessment of Marcgraviaceae species diversity north of the São Francisco river in northeastern Brazil, analyzing species richness and distribution patterns across 384 000 km² of phytogeographic domains. Through field collections, herbarium studies (both physical and digital), and detailed morphological analyses, we ...

UM DIÁLOGO SOBRE O MILAGRE DA VIDA EM MANUEL BANDEIRA E O SER-PARA-A-MORTE DE MARTIN HEIDEGGER

open access: yesArtefilosofia, 2023
Resumo Neste artigo buscamos uma reflexão sobre a morte a partir do diálogo-confronto entre M. Bandeira em “Preparação para a morte” e M. Heidegger com o conceito de ser-para-a-morte.

Average-case Hardness of RIP Certification [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
The restricted isometry property (RIP) for design matrices gives guarantees for optimal recovery in sparse linear models. It is of high interest in compressed sensing and statistical learning.

Heterogeneous multireference alignment: a single pass approach

open access: yes, 2018
Multireference alignment (MRA) is the problem of estimating a signal from many noisy and cyclically shifted copies of itself. In this paper, we consider an extension called heterogeneous MRA, where $K$ signals must be estimated, and each observation ...
