Bandpass grids with annular apertures
IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 1987A rigorous theory is developed for describing the diffraction of a plane wave by a doubly periodic array of annular apertures in a thick, perfectly conducting screen. Coaxial waveguide modes are used to describe the fields within each aperture, while the fields above and below the grid are written as plane wave expansions.

In this chapter, a new coupled line balun topology is presented by analyzing the standing wave pattern around the open-circuited half-wavelength transmission line. Then, a class of planar-type balun bandpass filters with single-/dual-band and wideband responses is introduced based on this balun topology.

In a recent paper [1], Brown examined the sampling of a real finiteenergy bandpass signal having an (angular) bandwidth ? (in radians per second) at the theoretically minimum (average) rate of ?/? samples per second. Following Grace and Pitt's [2] quadrature sampling, a particular case of Kohlenberg's second-order sampling [3, 4], Brown has proved the ...

Superconductive Bandpass Filters
1994This paper reports on superconductive bandpass filters with several functions or with a high power handling capability. A frequency shift of several megahertz and a successful switching operation due to thermal switches were confirmed in four-pole microstrip filters with a frequency of 1.5 GHz, a bandwidth of 1.5% and a loss of less than 0.7 dB. It was

In addition to the RLC tuned circuits of Chapter 8, highly selective bandpass circuits can be achieved with lowpass amplifiers together with resistorcapacitor combinations in overall negative or positive feedback configurations. These active RC configurations are a most interesting study in themselves.

Zolotarev rational functions may be used in certain bandpass filter applications for which two narrower passbands are required. Coupled-resonator low-pass prototypes for narrow bandpass filters based on even- and odd-degree Zolotarev functions are synthesized using a transformed variable.
