Switchable Embedded Notch Structure for UWB Bandpass Filter

open access: yesIEEE Microwave and Wireless Components Letters, 2008
A reconfigurable ultra-wideband (UWB) bandpass filter (BPF) with switchable notch for UWB system is presented. The UWB BPF is embedded with two identical switchable notch structures, in which PIN diodes are used for electronic switching.

A Novel S-Band Bandpass Filter (BPF) with Extremely Broad Stopband

2018 48th European Microwave Conference (EuMC), 2018
This paper presents a new compact wideband bandpass filter (BPF) with an extremely broad stopband consisting of two parallel coupled-line sections and multiple open-ended stubs, for S-band applications. Due to symmetry of the design, even- and odd-mode analysis method is applied to analyze the proposed filter structure.

First-order reflectionless lumped-element lowpass filter (LPF) and bandpass filter (BPF) design

2016 IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium (IMS), 2016
This work presents design methods for first-order reflectionless lumped-element lowpass and bandpass filters. Each of the proposed filter structures contains an impedance matching circuit that can theoretically cancel out the reflected wave. We have derived the analytic design equations so that the reflectionless filters can be designed without using ...

A Novel Ultra-Wideband (UWB) Bandpass Filter (BPF) With Pairs of Transmission Zeroes

IEEE Microwave and Wireless Components Letters, 2007
A novel, compact, and highly selective ultra-wideband bandpass filter was developed on a microstrip line and presented in this letter for use in wireless communication applications. The basic filter is composed of five short-circuited stubs separated by nonredundant connecting lines that contribute to the filter selectivity as well.

Investigation into microstrip dual-mode bandpass filters (BPFS) with in-line feed-line configurations

Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2006
Based on the geometry relationship of the conventional dual-mode ring resonators, this study concisely describes the operation principle of a kind of dual-mode resonator filters with in-line feed-lines. The investigated filter topology is fed by two pairs of orthogonal branch lines and can realize in-line configuration for the input and output (I/O ...

Millimeter-wave ultra-wideband (UWB) bandpass filter (BPF) using microstrip parallel coupled lines

2016 IEEE Wireless Communications and Networking Conference, 2016
A compact millimeter-wave bandpass filter for automotive radar systems is developed and proposed in this paper. The filter is designed to select the UWB spectrum (2229GHz) to meet the FCC specifications. The filter consists of two of parallel-coupled line sections that are quarter-wavelength long at a center frequency of about 25.5 GHz.

High frequency performance and compact LTCC bandpass filter (BPF) with three transmission zeros

2017 7th IEEE International Symposium on Microwave, Antenna, Propagation, and EMC Technologies (MAPE), 2017
In this paper, a design of compact LTCC bandpass filter with three layers and three Transmission Zeros (TZs) is proposed, which obtain a high skirt selectivity with narrow passband and wide stopband. The mixed Electric and Magnetic (EM) coupling and Source-Load (S-L) coupling are utilized to create TZs in this design.

Compact slow-wave millimeter-wave bandpass filter (BPF) using open-loop resonator

2016 21st International Conference on Microwave, Radar and Wireless Communications (MIKON), 2016
A compact slow-wave millimeter-wave bandpass filter for wireless communication systems is developed and proposed in this paper. The filter is based on an open-loop resonator that is composed of a microstrip line with both ends loaded with folded open stubs. The folded arms of the open stubs are utilized to increase the loading capacitance to ground. In

Power distribution to multiple implanted sensor devices using a multiport bandpass filter (BPF) approach

2014 IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium (IMS2014), 2014
This paper presents a magnetically coupled bandpass filter (BPF) approach for power distribution to multiple implanted devices. The BPF design approach accounts for the multiple loads and enables maximum power transfer into each individual receiver for given coupling coefficients between the coils.
