Bandpass filtering in barium titanate

Applied Optics, 1988
Real-time spatial filteirng is performed in BaTiO(3) using two different holographic geometries. In both geometries white light images of moderate intensity are used to filter selected portions of Fourier transform holograms written in the crystal. The result is a suppression of certain spatial frequencies in the reconstructed images.

Microstrip dual-bandpass filter design

2017 25th Signal Processing and Communications Applications Conference (SIU), 2017
Dual-bandpass microstrip filter design is suggested for small-scale device. Design of dual-bandpass microstrip filter has been created with concentric square structure by using microstrip resonator. Both of resonators have been used to get dual-bandpass frequencies and fed with only one source.

Divergence-tolerant resonant bandpass filters

Optics Letters, 2016
Bandpass filters based on subwavelength dielectric gratings are grounded in physical principles that are totally distinct from their thin-film counterparts. Ease in fabrication, design scalability, material sparsity, and on-chip integration compatibility makes them a promising alternative especially for long-wavelength applications. Here we demonstrate

Balun bandpass filters

2019
In this chapter, a new coupled line balun topology is presented by analyzing the standing wave pattern around the open-circuited half-wavelength transmission line. Then, a class of planar-type balun bandpass filters with single-/dual-band and wideband responses is introduced based on this balun topology.

MEMS‐reconfigurable bandpass filter

Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2008
AbstractThis article presents a MEMS‐based bandpass filter with a reconfigurable frequency response. The proposed device consists of a stub‐loaded Branch‐Line Coupler in artificial transmission line technology, resulting in a very compact structure. Furthermore, by using a micro electro mechanical system resistive switch, a reconfigurable frequency ...

Superconductive Bandpass Filters

1994
This paper reports on superconductive bandpass filters with several functions or with a high power handling capability. A frequency shift of several megahertz and a successful switching operation due to thermal switches were confirmed in four-pole microstrip filters with a frequency of 1.5 GHz, a bandwidth of 1.5% and a loss of less than 0.7 dB. It was

Multiple resonance FTR filters for nonpolarizing bandpass filters

Applied Optics, 1984
A design procedure is given for multiple resonance FTR filters which are required to be nonpolarizing for a specific wavelength and angle of incidence. The optimum thickness of the buffer layer is derived to make the phase velocities of TE and TM modes coincide in a twin-waveguide system.

Zolotarev bandpass filters

IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, 2001
Zolotarev rational functions may be used in certain bandpass filter applications for which two narrower passbands are required. Coupled-resonator low-pass prototypes for narrow bandpass filters based on even- and odd-degree Zolotarev functions are synthesized using a transformed variable.

Narrow-Bandpass Waveguide Filters

IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, 1972
A procedure is described whereby narrow-bandpass waveguide filters having ripple in both the passbands and stopbands can be synthesized in the form of coupled waveguide cavities. Orthogonal modes in square or circular waveguides are employed to enable negative coupling elements to be realized.

Bandpass filtering with lowpass filters

Journal of the Franklin Institute, 1963
Abstract Lowpass filters may achieve the effects of bandpass filtering by heterodyning the bandpass wave to obtain the “in-phase” and “quadrature” components and filtering these with suitable lowpass filters. The impulse responses for the lowpass filters are determined in a simple way from the desired bandpass impulse response.
