Compact wideband bandpass filter

IEEE Microwave and Wireless Components Letters, 2006
Designing wideband bandpass filters (BPF) with parallel-coupled microstrip lines requires tight coupling resulting in close separation between the lines and difficulty of fabrication. Here, it is shown that the etched slots in the ground plane of the parallel coupled lines can significantly increase the coupling.

Bandpass filtering in BaTiO3

Annual Meeting Optical Society of America, 1988
White light images are used to perform real-time spatial filtering in BaTiO3 in two different geometries. White light images act as spatial filters by erasing certain frequency components of photorefractive Fourier transform holograms. As a result, these frequency components are suppressed in the reconstructed holographic images.

Voltage tunable bandpass filter

2015 Signal Processing Symposium (SPSympo), 2015
A voltage tunable bandpass filter is presented. The filter is realized in microstrip technology using two stepped-impedance resonators. The voltage tuning is provided by means of varactor diodes. The filter has fixed absolute bandwidth of 30 MHz in the frequency range from 375 MHz to 915 MHz. The insertion loss is lower than 5 dB and return loss better

SWITCHABLE BANDPASS FILTER

2011
The invention relates to a switchable bandpass filter (3). In particular, the invention relates to a narrow-band bandpass filter (3) which can be switched over a broad frequency band and has two filter elements (22, 24) designed with microstrip line technology, which filter is suitable for use as a cosite filter in a compact design which is ...

Gradient Index Bandpass Filters

Optical Interference Coatings, 1992
The performance of filters having sinusoidal refractive index profiles have been published by various authors1. In general, these filters have a strong reflection at the design wavelength and offer the promise of no harmonics at any wavelength2. Further, these refractive index profiles may be superimposed with each other creating multiple stopbands ...

Bandpass Filters for Communications

Optical Interference Coatings, 1995
There is considerable interest today for filters for fiber optics telecommunications are in the Near Infra-red spectral area. Activity is centered about 1550 nm. Components for Wavelength Division Multiplexer filters used with fiber amplifiers require very high transmission of certain selected wavelengths with very low transmission of an adjacent ...

Acousto-optic bandpass filter

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 2003
The acousto-optic bandpass filter is a device whereby one or more bands of optical wavelengths may be selected for further transmission. In this device, all light within the optical bandwidth of operation is first coupled from the core mode of a optical fiber to a specific cladding mode by a long-period photo-induced grating.

Capacitive Switching Bandpass Filters

2010
The objective of this chapter is to design and characterize tunable bandpass filters that integrate the capacitive switch (or the DC-contact switch) into the CPW transmission line structure. A capacitance tuning bandpass filter is designed. The filter consists of two series coupled resonators and a series of coupling capacitors and shunt capacitors in ...
