Designing of Hairpin-Line Band Pass Filters for DCS, UMTS and LTE-Systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Bandpass filters are essential components in any wireless systems. They are designed for selecting desired signal from other signals. Especially in crowded frequency spectrums, accurate filter characteristics are required to guarantee the performance of ...

Chronic Hypoxia Disrupts Spermatogenesis Through ASXL2–EZH2–Mediated Microtubule Destabilization

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals the mechanism by which chronic hypoxia impairs spermatogenesis via the ASXL2–EZH2 axis, hindering the transition of spermatids from round to elongated forms. Key findings reveal that under hypoxic conditions, downregulated ASXL2 expression reduces EZH2 binding to the CEP162 promoter, leading to decreased H3K27me3 modification and ...

Effects of simulated space radiation on selected optical materials [PDF]

open access: yes
The effect of simulated Nimbus spacecraft orbital (1100 km, circular, and polar) radiation on wide bandpass glass filters, narrow bandpass thin film interference filters, and several fused silicas was determined by transmittance measurements over the 200

Multi‐Site Transfer Classification of Major Depressive Disorder: An fMRI Study in 3335 Subjects

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The study proposes graph convolution network with sparse pooling to learn the hierarchical features of brain graph for MDD classification. Experiment is done on multi‐site fMRI samples (3335 subjects, the largest functional dataset of MDD to date) and transfer learning is applied, achieving an average accuracy of 70.14%.

Magnetoelectric microwave bandpass filter

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 2006
An electric field tunable microwave bandpass filter based on ferromagnetic resonance (FMR) in a bilayer of yttrium iron garnet and lead zirconate titanate has been designed and characterised. The filter tunability is accomplished through magnetoelectric coupling that manifests as a shift in the FMR.

Sleep Alters the Velocity of Physiological Brain Pulsations in Humans

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Sleep alters I/CSF oscillatory flow, driven by increased respiratory (29%) and vasomotor pulsation (21%) velocities, while cardiovascular pulsations decreased by (22%). Velocity is quantified using optical flow analysis of MREG data. Spectral power increases alongside these pulsations (spatial correlation, r = 0.35 and r = 0.39, respectively ...

Narrow band photometry of selected asteroids [PDF]

open access: yes
The CCD photometry of selected asteroids was carried out to check for possible cometary activity in them. To distinguish the asteroids with possible cometary activity from those of the main belt, each object of interest was observed in two filters; one ...

Midbrain PAG Astrocytes Modulate Mouse Defensive and Panic‐Like Behaviors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Astrocytes in the midbrain periaqueductal gray (PAG) dynamically encode threat intensity and shape defensive action selection in mice. Real‐time Ca2+ imaging reveals robust astrocytic activation during predator odor and CO2 exposure. Aberrant astrocytic Ca2+ overactivation disrupts goal‐directed escape, biases behavior toward freezing, and induces ...
