Realization Theory of Ladder Networks in Terms of the Poles and Zeros of Reflection Coefficient and its Application to a Bandpass Matching Problem

open access: closedJournal of the Franklin Institute, 1972
Abstract Necessary and sufficient conditions for the realization of lossless, lowpass, ladder networks terminated by a resistance are presented, in terms of the poles and zeros of the reflection coefficient. These conditions yield explicit expressions for the element values. They are then extended to highpass networks.

Periodically nonuniform bandpass sampling as a tapped-delay-line filtering problem

open access: closed1999 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing. Proceedings. ICASSP99 (Cat. No.99CH36258), 1999
We consider systems for demodulation/modulation which use periodically nonuniform sampling (of arbitrary order) of the bandpass signal to circumvent the carrier-frequency restrictions of uniform sampling. The design of a particular tapped-delay-line (demodulation) or piecewise-constant-impulse-response (modulation) equivalent filter determines both the

The problems a solution of bandpass filters for the new hydroacoustics system

open access: closed2012 20th Telecommunications Forum (TELFOR), 2012
This work describes results in development of the functional model of a new hydroacoustic system for detecting and processing hydroacoustic signals of floating objects, and these results are in connection with Butterworths bandpass filters. This work surrounded the basics concepts out of theory of filters, reasons for use Butterworths filters, as well ...

Solving the Approximation Problem for Narrowband Bandpass Filters with Equal-Ripple Passband Response and Arbitrary Phase Response

open access: closedMTT-S International Microwave Symposium Digest, 2005
A practical method is presented for solving the approximation problem for narrowband bandpass filters with equalripple passband response and arbitrary phase response. The method determines the element values of the low-pass prototype filter and is based on the use of generalized Chebyshev rational functions with arbitrary choice of transmission zero ...

Genetic Algorithm Approach for Bandpass Problem

open access: yes, 2010
Bandpass Problem (BP) is a telecommunication problem. This problem arises in considering the optimal packing of information flows on different wavelengths into groups to obtain the highest available cost reduction in design and operating the optical communication networks using wavelength division multiplexing technology.
