In this paper, we show a new bandstop filter circuit topology. Unlike conventional bandstop filter circuit topologies, the new circuit topology has inter-resonator coupling structures. The presence of these inter-resonator coupling structures enables convenient switching from a bandstop to a bandpass filter. Using the new bandstop filter topology, this

Reconfigurable matched bandstop filter
2011 IEEE International RF & Microwave Conference, 2011This paper demonstrates a reconfigurable matched bandstop filter. The filter is based on a lossy allpass network. The lossy allpass network demonstrates the concept and design of perfectly matched bandstop response with a perfect matched at all frequencies.

AbstractA new prototype network is derived for a class of allpass networks from which, by a simple switch operation, a cascaded element bandstop filter results. an explicit solution for element values is obtained for the even‐ and odddegree solutions of arbitrary degree.

A Dielectric Resonator Bandstop Filter
MTT-S International Microwave Symposium Digest, 2005This paper presents a new analysis predicting accurately the external quality factor and scattering matrix parameters S/sub ij/ of the TE/sub 01p/ cylindrical resonator mode, coupled with a microstrip line for arbitrary locations of the resonator and the line, The results obtained are used to realize a Tchebyscheff bandstop filter.

The synthesis of narrow bandstop filters with arbitrary stopband and equiripple passband responses is demonstrated. A new transformed frequency variable is used for iterative approximation with automatic bandwidth adjustment and prototype circuit realization. A five-resonator filter is used to illustrate the proposed method. >

A plasmonic MIM bandstop filter
2018 3rd International Conference on Microwave and Photonics (ICMAP), 2018This paper presents a bandstop wavelength filter designed by incorporating a rectangular groove in plasmonic MIM (Metal-Insulator-Metal) waveguide. The designed bandstop filter is simulated for generating a transmission notch at 1715 nm having a bandwidth of 130nm (from 1650 to 1790 nm).

Multiband matched bandstop filter
2010 IEEE Asia-Pacific Conference on Applied Electromagnetics (APACE), 2010This paper is to propose a multiband matched bandstop filter. A lossy resonator is proposed and it demonstrates the concept and design of a perfectly matched bandstop filter with a matched response‥ The design is based on a half wavelength (λ/2) and quarter wavelength (λ/4) resonator with gap coupling, parallel with an all-pass nominally-90°-phase ...

AbstractMost conventional transmission line filters are commensurate structures, with all elements that contribute to the filter performance of equal length. In this article, a structure is described that makes use of a series of elements that vary in length and spacing according to a logarithmic function; this results in a series of transmission zeros

We propose and demonstrate, based on the concept of a microwave bandstop filter, two quantum wave bandstop filter structures. Both structures employ nanoscale gates in a heterojunction transistor to induce a quantum cavity connected by two one-dimensional wires.
