A Tunable Bandstop Filter Based on Source Follower

2019 IEEE 62nd International Midwest Symposium on Circuits and Systems (MWSCAS), 2019
A tunable bandstop filter based on source follower is presented. The filter is designed using a source follower architecture with partial positive feedback and feed-forward paths using 0.18µm CMOS technology. The filter consumes about 1.4 mW from a 1.8V power supply, and it is designed to have 1.5GHz center frequency with 360 MHz bandwidth and 80 dB ...

L-resonator bandstop filters

1996 IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium Digest, 1996
A design procedure is presented for TEM narrow bandstop filters using L resonators, which are intermediate of the gap- and parallel-coupled resonators typically used, having parallel coupling only over a portion of the resonator length and a grounded end in either the coupled or stub portion of the resonator.

The reentrant wideband bandpass/bandstop elliptic filters

2010 10th International Conference on Actual Problems of Electronic Instrument Engineering APEIE-2010, 2010
This paper presents a novel wideband bandpass/bandstop filter configuration. The new filter is based on the reentrant structure with unequal dielectric constants of the internal and external filling. As a result, additional symmetrical transmission zeros are generated at the lower and upper stop bands of the bandpass filter leading to elliptic function

Bandpass and bandstop recursive filters with low sensitivity

IEEE Transactions on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing, 1986
In a sharp cutoff bandpass or bandstop recursive digital filter, the poles and zeros are expected to be clustered around the band edges, and in close proximity of the unit circle in the z-plane. Implementation of such filters with low sensitivity could be achieved by cascading second-order sections, with appropriate low sensitivity structures chosen ...

A novel wideband bandstop filter

Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2009
AbstractA novel bandstop filter using star shape structure is designed, fabricated, and measured. Parameters are optimized via numerical simulations. Measurements are carried out using network analyzer. The proposed filter has wide bandwidth, compact dimensions, easy fabrication, and low cost.

Bandpass (bandstop) digital filter design routine

Review of Scientific Instruments, 1978
As a complement to the design methods for low pass digital filters previously published [Rev. Sci. Instrum. 48, 1447 (1977)], we present a description of a bandpass (or bandstop) digital filter design program, a demonstration of its use, and the fortran code.

Absorptive planar bandstop filters

2019
A simple and very effective way to realize narrowband and wideband absorptive band stop filters (ABSFs) is presented. Analytical design equations are established to allow the direct synthesis of ABSFs according to the desired specifications. Good stopband rejection, low input reflection coefficient, and high level of input power dissipation within the ...

A tri-band bandstop filter with sharp rejection and controllable bandstop frequencies

2015 IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation & USNC/URSI National Radio Science Meeting, 2015
A novel tri-band bandstop filter (TBBSF) is presented, which has a few special features, such as adjustable bandstop frequencies, compact size, low insertion loss, and sharp rejection. To validate the proposed design, a TBBSF operating at 1.2 GHz, 1.5 GHz, and 2.2 GHz is designed and simulated, the rejection level of more than 40 dB is achieved at the ...

HTS Bandstop Filter for Radio Astronomy

IEEE Microwave and Wireless Components Letters, 2012
A novel miniaturized six-pole high temperature superconducting microstrip bandstop filter operating at S band is presented in this letter. A pseudo elliptical behavior in the frequency characteristic is introduced by designing the resonators to resonate at asynchronous frequencies and by varying the inter resonator phase difference.
