AbstractMost conventional transmission line filters are commensurate structures, with all elements that contribute to the filter performance of equal length. In this article, a structure is described that makes use of a series of elements that vary in length and spacing according to a logarithmic function; this results in a series of transmission zeros

We propose and demonstrate, based on the concept of a microwave bandstop filter, two quantum wave bandstop filter structures. Both structures employ nanoscale gates in a heterojunction transistor to induce a quantum cavity connected by two one-dimensional wires.

Bandpass (bandstop) digital filter design routine
Review of Scientific Instruments, 1978As a complement to the design methods for low pass digital filters previously published [Rev. Sci. Instrum. 48, 1447 (1977)], we present a description of a bandpass (or bandstop) digital filter design program, a demonstration of its use, and the fortran code.

AbstractA new prototype network is derived for a class of allpass networks from which, by a simple switch operation, a cascaded element bandstop filter results. an explicit solution for element values is obtained for the even‐ and odddegree solutions of arbitrary degree.

New modified microstrip bandstop filter with only one (first order) bandstop
2009 9th International Conference on Telecommunication in Modern Satellite, Cable, and Broadcasting Services, 2009In this paper, a new structure with only one (first order) bandstop is reported. A simple trapezoid shape of the microstrip line is introduced instead of the more complicated pattern. It obtains simple simulation, optimization and fabrication.

A microstrip dualband bandstop filter with dualband bandstop resonators
2017 IEEE 17th International Conference on Communication Technology (ICCT), 2017A novel compact microstrip dualband bandstop filter with dualband bandstop resonator is proposed in this paper. The dualband bandstop resonator consists of a main line and five-order dualband bandstop resonators. The equivalent circuit model of the dualband bandstop resonator is extracted and the effects of the different design parameters on the ...

A design procedure is presented for TEM narrow bandstop filters using L resonators, which are intermediate of the gap- and parallel-coupled resonators typically used, having parallel coupling only over a portion of the resonator length and a grounded end in either the coupled or stub portion of the resonator.

Plasmonic Infrared Bandstop Reflective Filter
IEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Quantum Electronics, 2013Various types of free-space plasmonic bandstop filters are reviewed. The plasmonic multilayer structure shows multiple localized surface plasmon (LSP) resonance modes with extraordinary high angle tolerance. Through modifying the plasmonic multilayer structure to a plasmonic T-shaped array, the multiple LSP modes can be suppressed.

The synthesis of narrow bandstop filters with arbitrary stopband and equiripple passband responses is demonstrated. A new transformed frequency variable is used for iterative approximation with automatic bandwidth adjustment and prototype circuit realization. A five-resonator filter is used to illustrate the proposed method. >

Absorptive planar bandstop filters
2019A simple and very effective way to realize narrowband and wideband absorptive band stop filters (ABSFs) is presented. Analytical design equations are established to allow the direct synthesis of ABSFs according to the desired specifications. Good stopband rejection, low input reflection coefficient, and high level of input power dissipation within the ...
