A novel wideband bandstop filter

Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2009
AbstractA novel bandstop filter using star shape structure is designed, fabricated, and measured. Parameters are optimized via numerical simulations. Measurements are carried out using network analyzer. The proposed filter has wide bandwidth, compact dimensions, easy fabrication, and low cost.

New compact dual-band bandstop filter

International Journal of Electronics, 2013
This article introduces a compact single pole dual-band bandstop filter using capacitors loaded open rectangular DGS slot. A parametric study is reported to pull down lower and upper frequency bands of the unloaded DGS slot in the range of needed stopbands with the help of the loading capacitors. A systematic design process is reported to design a dual-

Waveguide Bandstop Elliptic Function Filters

IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, 1972
Using the "natural prototype" for elliptic function filters, a design procedure is presented for a class of waveguide bandstop filters, which exhibit equiripple passband and stopband responses. Due to the availability of explicit formulas for element values in the natural prototype elliptic function filter, the design procedure is entirely analytic and

Balanced octave-tunable absorptive bandstop filter

2018 IEEE 19th Wireless and Microwave Technology Conference (WAMICON), 2018
This paper presents, for the first time, a balanced octave-tunable absorptive bandstop filter. The balanced (differential) operation is realized by coupling two transmission lines with an opposite polarity to each of two high-Q tunable Substrate Integrated Waveguide (SIW) cavity resonators.

A compact triple-band bandstop filter

2014 International Conference on Advances in Engineering & Technology Research (ICAETR - 2014), 2014
This paper presents a compact triple-band bandstop filter (TBBSF) that features three controllable stopbands at 1.8 GHz, 5.2 GHz and 8.5 GHz frequencies. A drastic reduction in size of the filter was achieved by taking advantage of a simplified architecture based on E-shaped resonator. The return losses of the simulated filter are measured to be −46.14,

Wideband Bandstop Filter With Cross-Coupling

IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, 2007
A general circuit configuration for cross-coupled wideband bandstop filters is proposed. The distinct filtering characteristics of this new type of transmission line filter are investigated theoretically and experimentally. It is shown that a ripple stopband can be created, leading to a quasi-elliptic function response that enhances the rejection ...

Cascadable Lossy Passive Biquad Bandstop Filter

2006 IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium Digest, 2006
A lossy passive biquad bandstop filter is proposed as a building block for higher-order bandstop filters needing both large stopband attenuation and excellent selectivity. Characteristic equations for cascaded absorptive filters, an example, and data useful for design are provided.

Compact Metamaterial Based Bandstop Filter

2014
A compact, highly selective, bandstop filter (B SF) is presented with numerical and experimental results. It is additionally modelled with lumped circuit elements in an equivalent circuit model (ECM) to describe resonator coupling and corresponding phase shift.
