Climate Change Likely to Intensify Storm‐Driven Compound Flooding in an Exemplar UK Estuary
Abstract Flood protection authorities are not prepared for compound flood risk in estuaries—now and in the face of climate change. Climate projections are rarely downscaled appropriately to assess future changes in storm surge and concurrent river discharge extremes, and their interactions to exacerbate flooding.

Tunable metamaterial bandstop filter based on ferromagnetic resonance
Tunable wideband microwave bandstop filters have been investigated by experiments and simulations. The negative permeability is realized around the ferromagnetic resonance frequency which can be influenced by the demagnetization factor of the ferrite ...

Waveguide bandstop filter based on irises and double corrugations for use in industrial microwave ovens [PDF]
In this reported work it is shown that one of the most employed filtering systems for use in continuous-flow industrial microwave ovens, namely doubly corrugated filters, does not work properly for many values of the electric permittivity of the ...

ABSTRACT This study aims to identify differences in the functional neural connectivity of the brain of paediatric patients with obstructive sleep apnea. Using EEG signals from 3673 paediatric patients, we grouped subjects into OSA or control groups based on sleep oxygen desaturation levels and apnea‐hypopnea index (AHI), and applied topological data ...

A Design of a Terahertz Microstrip Bandstop Filter with Defected Ground Structure
A planar microstrip terahertz (THz) bandstop filter has been proposed with defected ground structure with high insertion loss (S21) in a stopband of −25.8 dB at 1.436 THz.

Novel microstrip bandstop filter
A microstrip bandstop filter is described that overcomes the problems of radiation and surface-wave generation at high frequencies (40 GHz). An attenuation greater than 17 dB has been measured over at least a 10% bandwidth. The peak attenuation in the band can exceed 30 dB.

Tunable bound states in the continuum through hybridization of 1D and 2D metasurfaces
Abstract This work presents a novel approach to create and dynamically control quasi‐bound states in the continuum (BIC) resonances through the hybridization of 1D and 2D metasurfaces using micro‐electromechanical systems (MEMS). The quasi‐BIC resonance’s central wavelength and quality factor are precisely tuned by introducing out‐of‐plane symmetry ...
