Electrodeposited Tin Catalysts on Carbon Paper Substrates for Electrochemical CO2 Reduction to Formic Acid in a Proton Exchange Membrane Cell

Carbon‐substrate selection fundamentally governs the performance of Sn electrocatalysts in PEM‐based CO2 electroreduction to formic acid. Tin electrodeposited on thin carbon paper (Sn/TCP) outperforms straight carbon paper (Sn/SCP), achieving higher Faradaic efficiency and superior stability.
