Magnetic Bistability for a Wider Bandwidth in Vibro-Impact Triboelectric Energy Harvesters
Mechanical energy from vibrations is widespread in the ambient environment. It may be harvested efficiently using triboelectric generators. Nevertheless, a harvester’s effectiveness is restricted because of the limited bandwidth.

Analysis of the high-speed polysilicon photodetector in fully standard CMOS technology [PDF]
A high-performance lateral polysilicon photodiode was designed in standard 0.18 um CMOS technology. The device has a frequency bandwidth far in the GHz range: the measured bandwidth of the poly photodiode was 6 GHz, which gure was limited by the ...

A lack of standard approaches for testing and reporting the performance of metal halide perovskites and organic semiconductor radiation detectors has resulted in inconsistent interpretation of performance parameters, impeding progress in the field. This Perspective recommends key metrics and experimental details, which are suggested for reporting in ...

Active temporal multiplexing of indistinguishable heralded single photons
Deterministically generated single photons are useful for quantum communications, but the processes that create such light are often non-deterministic.

Novel ferrocene derivatives (e.g., FcPhc2) are used as an ultrathin layer hole‐blocking layer, reducing hole injection from the Ag contact. This results in an ultralow noise spectral density of 1.2 × 10−14 A Hz−1/2, and a high specific detectivity of 8.1 × 1012 Jones at −0.5 V.

Circumventing spontaneous Raman noise in a correlated photon pair source
We propose a dual-pump third-order nonlinear scheme for producing pairs of correlated photons that is less susceptible to Raman noise than typical spontaneous four-wave mixing (SFWM) methods.

Broadband, High Efficiency OMT in E-Band
A high-performance, broadband E-Band orthomode transducer (OMT) was designed and fabricated for a dedicated frequency converter. Cross-polarized signals between 71 and 86 GHz, received in a TE11 mode circular waveguide needed to be split into separate ...
