Noise, gain, and bandwidth characteristics of the variable parameter amplifier

1957 International Electron Devices Meeting, 1957
An investigation has been made determining the noise, gain, and bandwidth characteristics of the general variable parameter system (i.e., a system similar to the type proposed by Landon and Suhl for amplification, conversion, and oscillation using ferrites). The basic circuit and its operation are illustrated in the following description.

Optical parameters and space–bandwidth product optimization in digital holographic microscopy

Applied Optics, 2012
This paper considers some of the most important optical parameters that characterize a digital holographic microscope (DHM) and presents their mathematical derivation based on geometrical and diffraction-based models. It supports and justifies the use of the out-of-focus recording of holograms by showing that the field of view can be increased when ...

Usage Parameter Control and Bandwidth Allocation Methods for Atm-Based B-Isdn

4th IEEE ComSoc International Workshop on Multimedia Communications. MULTIMEDIA, 1992
This paper proposes a ATM traffic management scheme that utilizes a deterministic source traffic descriptor, a deterministic Usage Parameter Control (UPC) algorithm and a conservative statistical bandwidth allocation method. The scheme not only guarantees the QOS of all connections but also allows for large statistical multiplexing gain.

Services Parameters and Novel Provisioning Techniques for a Bandwidth Reservation Network

NOMS Workshops 2008 - IEEE Network Operations and Management Symposium Workshops, 2008
We propose service parameters, architectures to provide them, pricing policies and a heuristic route-reservation algorithm for a network providing bandwidth reservation services. Bandwidth reservation services allow users to choose or assign service parameters with which users' requirements are satisfied.

Analysis of bandwidth efficiency and modulation parameter for chirp-rate modulation

Proceedings of 2013 2nd International Conference on Measurement, Information and Control, 2013
A code transmission method of chirp-rate modulation is proposed based on partial overlap of the pulse-width. Accordingly the improving coefficient of bandwidth efficiency is derived, and the analytic expression of improving maximum is obtained using the demodulation method in the fractional Fourier domain.

Bandwidth allocation based on declared UPC parameters in ATM networks

2000 TENCON Proceedings. Intelligent Systems and Technologies for the New Millennium (Cat. No.00CH37119), 2002
We present a new method of calculating the required bandwidth for ATM connections. We first develop analytical models for bandwidth allocation of constant bit rate (CBR) and variable bit rate (VBR) services based on the declared usage parameter control (UPC) parameters.

Analytical Dependence of the Atmospheric Radio Noise Parameter Vd on the Bandwidth

2020 2nd International Conference on Control Systems, Mathematical Modeling, Automation and Energy Efficiency (SUMMA), 2020
An analytical method for converting the pulse parameter Vd of atmospheric radio noise is Considered. The method is based on proprietary and literature data for the radio frequency range (3÷3•104) kHz.

Model parameters for wide time bandwidth sonar signals

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1978
Wide time-bandwidth (TW) product signals have been used historically in radar and communications for practical applications. Matched filter processing gain for these signals is predictable and offers highly attractive performance in the presence of gaussian noise.

Effect of electrode parameters on the bandwidth of the surface e.m.g. power-density spectrum

Medical & Biological Engineering & Computing, 1978
The effect of the electrode configuration (unipolar against bipolar), the electrode separation, the electrode position and the electrode contact area on the bandwidth of the power density spectrum of the surface e.m.g. has been studied. The dependence of the half-power point bandwidthB on the interelectrode distanced can be described by the regression ...

Simulation to estimate RF mesh parameters for the AMI in constrained bandwidth

CSI Transactions on ICT, 2015
Advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) is an important and integral component of Smart Grid. AMI requires a two way communication network to connect metering and load control endpoints spread over the residential area with the head end system. The most challenging part of AMI is to design this last leg of communication network which reliably and ...
