A Kinetic Monte Carlo Model to Understand Limiting Regimes of Photocurrent and Interfacial Charge Transfer in Organic Semiconductor–Electrolyte Interfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
The interface between a conjugated polymer and phosphate buffer saline is modeled by employing multiphysics kinetic Monte Carlo simulation. Results demonstrate that the Marcus Gerischer theory is inadequate, and particle‐based simulation with molecular Marcus theory is required for accurate modeling.

Boosting the Transparency of Metallic SrNbO3 Through Ti Doping

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Transparent conductors are optoelectronic devices of high demand. The present study presents a path on how to boost the figure of merit of the recently proposed perovskite oxides: Ti doping reduces electronic correlations and thus the absorption above the plasma frequency, while keeping the plasma frequency below the visible range.

Tunable Plasmonic Response of Silver Nanoparticles Entangled in Detonation Nanodiamond Network via Colloidal Self‐Assembly

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Detonation nanodiamonds form a network that entangles silver nanoparticles into stable nanocomplexes. The structure can fine‐tune and enhance plasmonic absorption through nearfield electromagnetic interactions but prevents silver particle aggregation. The study shows how the arrangement and concentration of particles affect light absorption, offering a

Morphology vs. Specific Surface Area: Which Plays the Leading Role in Microwave Absorption?

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
The role of morphology and specific surface area on microwave absorbing characteristics is systematically evaluated and compared. The matrix effect on microwave absorbing performance is studied using polyacetylurea. Implanted carbon nanotubes by red phosphorus and in situ polymerization of polyindole promoted microwave absorption.

Atomic Layer Deposition‐Coated Glass Vials Fulfilling Pharmacopoeia Criteria for Light Transmissibility for Photosensitive Pharmaceuticals

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Distributed Bragg Reflectors made of nanoscale TiO2 and SiO2 layers are created with atomic layer deposition on clear glass vials. These coated vials are intended to serve as primary packaging material for photosensitive pharmaceuticals. Transmission and reflectance of various coatings are studied, and an optimal structure fulfilling the pharmacopoeia ...
