Barcode Watermarking

2009 Sixth International Conference on Information Technology: New Generations, 2009
We have developed a new watermarking process based on the curvelet transform. By selectively removing specific ranges of curvelet coefficients we introduce a high fidelity watermark into an image. This mark has a natural resilience against rotation and scaling. The watermark can be exactly retrieved.

Persistence barcodes for shapes

Proceedings of the 2004 Eurographics/ACM SIGGRAPH symposium on Geometry processing, 2004
Summary: We initiate a study of shape description and classification via the application of persistent homology to tangential constructions on geometric objects. Our techniques combine the differentiating power of geometry with the classifying power of topology.

Barcode

2023
Object Lessons is a series of short, beautifully designed books about the hidden lives of ordinary things. Barcodes are about as ordinary as an object can be. They’re everywhere and impact everything from how we shop to how we travel to how the global economy is managed, but few people likely give them more than a second thought.

Generating 2D Barcode for DNA Barcode Sequences

DNA barcode sequence is a short DNA sequence representing a sample from a particular species. The commonly used DNA barcodes are at least 200 bps long. This large number of characters cannot be encoded in two-dimensional codes for sample recognition and tracking. In the present study, we described a method that can be used to compress the DNA sequences
