Steroidopathies and hormonal imbalance in children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder

open access: yesJCPP Advances, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a complex neurodevelopmental condition with a multifactorial etiology, many aspects of which remain unclear. Emerging evidence suggests a potential association between ASD and clinical manifestations resulting from hormonal imbalances, henceforth named “steroidopathies.” The present study aims to ...

Baricitinib Improvement Across Regions in Atopic Dermatitis Patients with Baseline Body Surface Area up to 40% and Severe Itch

open access: yesDermatology and Therapy
Introduction Patients with moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis (AD) who are most likely to respond to the Janus kinase (JAK) 1/2 inhibitor baricitinib (BARI) are known to have an impacted body surface area (BSA) ≤ 40% and severe itch (numerical rating ...

Juvenile polyposis in a SMAD4‐mutated child: A call for early surveillance

open access: yesJPGN Reports, EarlyView.
Abstract We report the case of a 10‐year‐old boy with hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia (HHT) and a family history of SMAD4‐related juvenile polyposis syndrome (JPS), presenting with hypoferritinaemia unresponsive to oral supplementation. Endoscopic evaluation revealed multiple gastrointestinal polyps, including duodenal, gastric, and colonic ...

Gluon Condensate at finite temperature and density in holographic QCD

open access: yes, 2014
The lowest dimensional gluon condensate $G_2$ is analysed at finite temperature and chemical potential using a bottom/up holographic model of QCD. Starting from the free energy of the model, pressure, entropy and quark density are obtained.

Theory Review of CP Violations in B Decays at Hadron Colliders

open access: yes, 1993
CP violations in B meson decays at hadron colliders are reviewed. In particular I examine: $B^0-\bar{B^0}$ mixing and oscillations within Standard Model and the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa picture for CP violations; $B^0$ decays into CP eigenstates and the
