Method prevents secondary radiation in radiographic inspection [PDF]
Thin-walled neoprene containers prevent secondary radiation, scatter, and undercut during radiographic inspection. The containers are filled with a mixture of barium sulfate, red lead, and petroleum jelly that achieves the required absorption ...

Multivalent Protein Nanorings for Broad and Potent SARS‐CoV‐2 Neutralization
A protein‐only, modular multivalent nanoscaffold displaying 20 anchor points, decorated with two different binders (10 of each), targeting the SARS‐CoV‐2 receptor‐binding domain is presented. The construct self‐assembles into stable, biocompatible, homogeneous nanoparticles, exhibit synergistic binding with fM IC50 values. It also detects spike at 9 ng

This study reveals that the E3 ubiquitin ligase TRIM56 exacerbates neuronal ferroptosis and brain damage by mediating K48‐linked ubiquitination and degradation of KLF4, leading to suppression of the xCT/GSH/GPX4 axis. Targeting TRIM56 alleviates cerebral ischemia‐reperfusion injury in vivo and in vitro, highlighting its therapeutic potential.

Flow injection determination of readily assimilable nitrogen compounds during vinification [PDF]
A flow injection method for the determination of readily assimilable nitrogen (r.a.n.), i.e. ammonium and aminated nitrogen, is reported. The difference in pH of the sample in the presence and absence of formaldehyde, which blocks the amino function ...

By profiling the spatiotemporal hepatic landscape of CHB mouse models, the originally peri‐portal localized KCs migrated to the peri‐central in a CXCL9‐CXCR3‐dependent manner, facilitating their interaction with HBV+ hepatocytes. The interaction promoted LMD in KCs through ASGR1‐induced LXRα degradation, which, in turn, induced CSC formation via Stat3 ...

This study develops a phosphorus‐doped cobalt single‐atom catalyst that enhances high‐valent cobalt–oxo species generation for water purification. This atomic‐level tuning boosts the catalyst's activity by 3.5 times, enabling efficient pollutant degradation. A continuous‐flow reactor achieves high, long‐term removal efficiency, producing water with low

The intestinal expulsion of the roundworm Ascaris suum is associated with eosinophils, intra-epithelial T cells and decreased intestinal transit time [PDF]
Ascaris lumbricoides remains the most common endoparasite in humans, yet there is still very little information available about the immunological principles of protection, especially those directed against larval stages.

The Gut Microbiota Regulates Motor Deficits via Butyrate in a Gnal+/− Mouse Model of DYT25 Dystonia
The present study provides compelling evidence for a modulatory role of the gut microbiota in the pathology of DYT25 dystonia, and butyrate supplementation alleviates the motor deficits of dystonia in Gnal+/− mice. Abstract Dystonia is the third most common movement disorder, following essential tremor and Parkinson's disease. The underlying mechanisms
