Airbrushing: A Novel Method for Preparation of High‐Emissivity Black Coating for Infrared Measurements

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, Volume 12, Issue 21, November 10, 2025.
This study showcases the airbrush method, a novel coating technique for the preparation of thin black paint coatings for infrared camera measurements. Using the method, coatings with an emissivity of 0.95, and as thin as 3 µm can be prepared. The method is affordable, non‐destructive, and can be prepared onto a wide range of substrates while ...

The Impact of X‐ray Damage in Chemical Crystalline Materials and New Opportunities for Small Molecule Serial Crystallography

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, Volume 31, Issue 60, October 27, 2025.
The impact of X‐ray damage in chemical crystals was minimised by the introduction of area detectors in the late 20th‐century. Now, ever‐brighter X‐ray sources are re‐establishing X‐ray damage as a key challenge. This article reviews recent observations of X‐ray‐induced processes in chemical samples and discusses state‐of‐the‐art methodologies for their
