Natural Variation in GmSL20 Improves Seed Size and Quality in Soybean
ABSTRACT Seed size plays an important role in determining crop yield, yet the genetic mechanisms underlying the regulation of this agronomic trait remain incompletely understood in soybean. Here, we perform a genome‐wide association study mapping with seed length variations and identify a major quantitative trait locus (QTL) on chromosome 20, named ...

ABSTRACT Although the global expansion of oxygen‐depleted marine environments during the Early Toarcian Jenkyns Event (or Toarcian Oceanic Anoxic Event) is primarily inferred from successions in the NW European epicontinental basins, the timing of the expansion of anoxia in Tethyan basins, where hydrography potentially played a minor role, is poorly ...

There Is More Than Meets the Eye: The Dual Role of Perception in Shaping Color Lexicons
Abstract Color's ultimate physical reality is continuous, and yet human beings “cut” this continuum into a rather small number of categories reflected in their languages’ color lexicon. There are striking cross‐linguistic differences in the color lexicon, which are primarily attributed to differences in communicative needs, but also striking ...

ABSTRACT Three forested dispersal corridors have been proposed within the diagonal of open/dry landscapes in South America and the relative importance of each one has been the subject of debate for forest organisms. We analysed the biogeographical history of three snake genera (Bothrops, Philodryas, and Micrurus) from different families (Viperidae ...
