We present the Deep Synoptic Array (DSA-110) discovery and interferometric localization of the so far nonrepeating FRB 20220319D. The FRB originates in a young, rapidly star-forming barred spiral galaxy, IRAS 02044+7048, at just 50 Mpc.

Optical emission line velocities in NGC 1365 are presented along 35 slit positions, of which 18 have not been published earlier. Diagrams of emission line velocities as function of distance along the slits are presented, and separate velocity fields are ...

ALMA-LEGUS. II. The Influence of Subgalactic Environments on Molecular Cloud Properties
We compare the molecular cloud properties in subgalactic regions of two galaxies, barred spiral NGC 1313, which is forming many massive clusters, and flocculent spiral NGC 7793, which is forming significantly fewer massive clusters despite having a ...

Stellar Bars Form Dark Matter Counterparts in TNG50
Dark matter (DM) bars that shadow stellar bars have been previously shown to form in idealized simulations of isolated disk galaxies, but have yet to be studied in a fully cosmological context.

Mapping Obscured Star Formation in the Host Galaxy of FRB 20201124A
We present high-resolution 1.5–6 GHz Karl G. Jansky Very Large Array and Hubble Space Telescope (HST) optical and infrared observations of the extremely active repeating fast radio burst (FRB) FRB 20201124A and its barred spiral host galaxy. We constrain
