Near-IR photometry of disk galaxies: search for nuclear isophotal twist and double bars [PDF]
We present a near-IR, mainly H band, photometry of 72 nearby disk galaxies. The main goal of the survey was to search for isophotal twist inside their nuclear regions.

CO OBSERVATIONS OF BARRED SPIRAL GALAXIES [PDF]
We present the results of a highly sensitive ( mK rms) survey toward the central parts of 22 barred spiral galaxies in line using the NRAO 12m telescope at Kitt Peak. Seven of the target galaxies were detected in CO; NGC 3686 has been detected with CO for the first time. We estimated central CO fluxes of and molecular gas masses of for those galaxies.

Thermotolerant class A acid phosphatase active across broad pH range and diverse substrates
Abstract M2‐32 is a non‐specific acid phosphatase with a rare ability to function across a broad pH range (3.5–8.5). Analysis using SWISS‐PROT Prf Profiles classifies it as a class A acid phosphatase (Z‐score: 78.97), sharing 50%–60% sequence similarity with enzymes such as PhoC and PhoN.

Invariant manifolds and the response of spiral arms in barred galaxies
The unstable invariant manifolds of the short-period family of periodic orbits around the unstable Lagrangian points $L_1$ and $L_2$ of a barred galaxy define loci in the configuration space which take the form of a trailing spiral pattern.

Hydrodynamical Simulations of the Barred Spiral Galaxy NGC 6782 [PDF]
NGC 6782 is an early-type barred spiral galaxy exhibiting a rich and complex morphology with multiple ring patterns. To provide a physical understanding of its structure and kinematical properties, two-dimensional hydrodynamical simulations have been ...

How do we accurately measure mind wandering? This review compares five methods: from self‐reports (prone to bias) to brain scans (precise but expensive). No single method captures all aspects, so we propose the MAMW framework—a unified approach combining strengths of each technique.

An enzyme that has been identified and characterized as capable of hydrolyzing paclitaxel (Taxol), a key anticancer drug derived from Pacific yew (Taxus brevifolia) has been identified. Molecular docking (MD) simulations map the catalytic triad and critical residues that drive substrate‐enzyme interactions. The findings indicate the catalytic potential

The Bar Pattern Speed of NGC 1433 Estimated Via Sticky-Particle Simulations
We present detailed numerical simulations of NGC 1433, an intermediate-type barred spiral showing strong morphological features including a secondary bar, nuclear ring, inner ring, outer pseudoring, and two striking, detached spiral arcs known as ...
