Impact of environmental covariates summarization on predictive ability in genomic selection

open access: yesThe Plant Genome, Volume 19, Issue 1, March 2026.
Abstract Integrating genomic and environmental information holds the potential for enhancing the predictive power of genomic prediction models when accounting for the genotype‐by‐environment interactions. Hence, incorporating environmental covariates (EC) into these models can significantly influence their predictive accuracy.

The Functional Delta Method for Deriving Asymptotic Distributions

open access: yesWIREs Computational Statistics, Volume 18, Issue 1, March 2026.
The distribution of the scaled difference between the plug‐in estimator Tθ̂n$$ T\left({\hat{\boldsymbol{\theta}}}_n\right) $$ and the true parameter Tθ0$$ T\left({\boldsymbol{\theta}}_0\right) $$ is approximated by the distribution of the scaled difference between θ̂n$$ {\hat{\boldsymbol{\theta}}}_n $$ and θ0$$ {\boldsymbol{\theta}}_0 $$ and a ...

Establishment of National Public Audit Oversight Boards: Descriptive Evidence and Implications for Audit Quality

open access: yesJournal of Accounting Research, Volume 64, Issue 1, Page 127-180, March 2026.
ABSTRACT We investigate the establishment of public audit oversight bodies (POBs) worldwide. We present descriptive evidence on POBs’ characteristics and factors influencing the timing of their establishment, finding that countries with stronger institutions, civil law traditions, and higher media attention to audit quality adopt POBs faster.

Foxg1 Defines Ventrolateral Zonal Identity by Sustaining Neurogenic Progenitor Potential in the Olfactory Epithelium

open access: yesGenes to Cells, Volume 31, Issue 2, March 2026.
Foxg1 maintains neurogenic progenitor potential in the ventrolateral olfactory epithelium. In control (Foxg1‐cHET) embryos, Foxg1‐expressing progenitors preferentially generate olfactory sensory neurons (OSNs) and support V‐zone expansion. Conditional Foxg1 deletion (Foxg1‐cKO) reduces V‐zone growth and shifts progenitor fate toward sustentacular cells
