Geophysical Survey of Two Long Barrows near Martin, Hampshire: Grans Barrow and Knap Barrow

The survey areas were divided into 20m grid squares, laid out using tapes and triangulation. A Geoscan FM36 gradiometer was used to perform the survey. This was set up to take readings every 0.25m along a traverse, with a traverse interval of 1m. A parallel (unidirectional) survey strategy was employed.
