Institutionalised Business Barter: An Alternative Business Marketing Exchange System In Australia

In Australia, business barter has become institutionalised as a marketing exchange system. Findings of a survey of 164 members of Australia's largest trade exchange, Bartercard, are reported. There are few, if any, published empirical studies on this topic. Business barter appears to be most attractive for small firms in the service sectors.
