Variational Barycentric Coordinates

open access: yesACM Transactions on Graphics, 2023
We propose a variational technique to optimize for generalized barycentric coordinates that offers additional control compared to existing models. Prior work represents barycentric coordinates using meshes or closed-form formulae, in practice limiting the choice of objective function.

On the convergence the barycentric method in solving diffraction problems on conductive thin screens

open access: yesФизика волновых процессов и радиотехнические системы, 2020
Annotation In this article, the use of the barycentric method is proposed for the numerical solution of problems of diffraction of electromagnetic waves on infinitely thin perfectly conducting screens of arbitrary shape. The numerical solution is formed

Obtaining The Finite Difference Approximation of The Lame System By Using Barycentric Coordinates

open access: yesCumhuriyet Science Journal, 2023
The elasto-plastic contact problem with an unknown contact domain (UCD) has attracted mathematicians, mechanics and engineers for decades. So, the problem of determining the stresses in the UCD is very important nowadays in terms of engineering and ...

Higher Order Barycentric Coordinates [PDF]

open access: yesComputer Graphics Forum, 2008
In recent years, a wide range of generalized barycentric coordinates has been suggested. However, all of them lack control over derivatives. We show how the notion of barycentric coordinates can be extended to specify derivatives at control points. This is also known as Hermite interpolation.

Visualizing temperature-dependent phase stability in high entropy alloys

open access: yesnpj Computational Materials, 2021
High entropy alloys (HEAs) contain near equimolar amounts of five or more elements and are a compelling space for materials design. In the design of HEAs, great emphasis is placed on identifying thermodynamic conditions for single-phase and multi-phase ...

On Spherical Barycentric Coordinates

open access: yesSSRN Electronic Journal, 2022
This paper describes a novel construction of generalized barycentric coordinates of points on a sphere with respect to the vertices of a given spherical polygon that is contained in a common hemisphere. While in the standard approach such coordinates are derived from their classical planar counterparts (e.g.

Three-dimensional evaluations of preoperative planning reproducibility for the osteosynthesis of distal radius fractures

open access: yesJournal of Orthopaedic Surgery and Research, 2021
Background Three-dimensional preoperative planning was applied for the osteosynthesis of distal radius fractures. The objective of this study was to evaluate the reproducibility of three-dimensional preoperative planning for the osteosynthesis of distal ...
