Baryon-Baryon Potentials on the Lattice [PDF]

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 1993
The interaction of spatially extended heavy baryons is investigated in the framework of lattice QCD with dynamical quarks. It is shown that the expected dipole forces have a very short range and that the baryon-antibaryon interaction is more attractive ...

The allowed baryon to baryon–meson strong transitions

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields
We investigate the kinematically allowed baryon to baryon–meson strong transitions in all the light and heavy sectors. We consider only the ground state on-shell particles in the baryonic and mesonic channels.

Baryon–anti-Baryon photoproduction [PDF]

open access: yesAIP Conference Proceedings, 2020
Baryon - anti-baryon photoproduction off a proton target is being studied in detail at Jefferson Lab with the GlueX Experiment. We observe $p\bar{p}$ and, for the first time, $ \bar $ photoproduction (with $ \rightarrow ^- p$, $\bar \rightarrow ^+ \bar{p}$) from thresholds up to $E_ = 11.4$ GeV.

Baryon operators and baryon spectroscopy [PDF]

open access: yesNuclear Physics B - Proceedings Supplements, 2006
The issues involved in a determination of the baryon resonance spectrum in lattice QCD are discussed. The variational method is introduced and the need to construct a sufficient basis of interpolating operators is emphasised. The construction of baryon operators using group-theory techniques is outlined.

The baryon-baryon interaction in the large- N c limit. [PDF]

open access: yesEur Phys J A Hadron Nucl
Abstract We analyze the large- $$N_c$$ N c structure of the baryon–baryon potential derived in the framework of SU(3) chiral perturbation theory up to next-to-leading order ...

Effects of three-baryon forces on kaon condensation in hyperon-mixed matter

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2021
Possibility of kaon-condensed phase in hyperon-mixed matter is considered on the basis of chiral symmetry for kaon-baryon and kaon-kaon interactions, being combined with the relativistic mean-field theory for two-body baryon interaction.

Detection of the Baryon Acoustic Peak in the Large-Scale Correlation Function of SDSS Luminous Red Galaxies [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
We present the large-scale correlation function measured from a spectroscopic sample of 46,748 luminous red galaxies from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey. The survey region covers 0.72 h-3 Gpc3 over 3816 deg2 and 0.16 < z < 0.47, making it the best sample ...

Baryon acoustic oscillations at z = 2.34 from the correlations of Lyα absorption in eBOSS DR14 [PDF]

open access: yesAstronomy & Astrophysics, 2019
We measure the imprint of primordial baryon acoustic oscillations (BAOs) in the correlation function of Lyα absorption in quasar spectra from the Baryon Oscillation Spectroscopic Survey (BOSS) and the extended BOSS (eBOSS) in Data Release 14 (DR14) of ...

Light particles with baryon and lepton numbers

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2021
We consider light new particles χ and ϕ that carry baryon and lepton numbers. If these particles are lighter than nucleons they lead to exotic decays such as p→π+χ and p→e+ϕ, not yet fully constrained by dedicated searches.
