Two Micron‐Size Dark Dimensions

open access: yesFortschritte der Physik, Volume 73, Issue 8, August 2025.
Abstract Two extra dimensions of micron scale might simultaneously address the gauge and cosmological hierarchy problems. In this paper various observational bounds in scenarios with one and two large extra dimensions are examined, to see if they are compatible with the micron scale.

Dirac neutrinos, dark energy and baryon asymmetry [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Cosmology and Astroparticle Physics, 2007
We explore a new origin of neutrino dark energy and baryon asymmetry in the universe. The neutrinos acquire small masses through the Dirac seesaw mechanism. The pseudo-Nambu-Goldstone boson associated with neutrino mass-generation provides a candidate for dark energy. The puzzle of cosmological baryon asymmetry is resolved via neutrinogenesis.

Visible GeV ALP from TeV Vector‐Like Leptons

open access: yesFortschritte der Physik, Volume 73, Issue 3, March 2025.
Abstract A model is presented where a GeV axion‐like‐particle (ALP) is predicted in a large portion of the parameter space due to the presence of explicit Peccei–Quinn (PQ) symmetry‐breaking terms in an exotic leptonic sector. The latter provides a solution to the muon g−2$g-2$ anomaly, within the framework of the Linear Seesaw neutrino mechanism.

Hypermagnetic Fields and Baryon Asymmetry from Pseudoscalar Inflation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We show that maximally helical hypermagnetic fields produced during pseudoscalar inflation can generate the observed baryon asymmetry of the Universe via the B + L anomaly in the Standard Model.

Antimatter Gravity and the Results of the ALPHA‐g Experiment

open access: yesAnnalen der Physik, Volume 536, Issue 7, July 2024.
The recent results of the ALPHA‐g experiment, which show gravitational attraction between antihydrogen atoms and the Earth, seem to undermine the success of repulsive‐gravity models in the cosmological field. Analyzing the theory of CPT gravity, two solutions are found that are consistent with the experimental results, while preserving the large‐scale ...

Discriminating Majorana neutrino textures in light of the baryon asymmetry [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We study all possible texture zeros in the Majorana neutrino mass matrix which are allowed from neutrino oscillation as well as cosmology data when the charged lepton mass matrix is assumed to take the diagonal form. In case of one-zero texture, we write

Cylindrically Symmetric Diffusion Model for Relativistic Heavy‐Ion Collisions

open access: yesAnnalen der Physik, Volume 536, Issue 5, May 2024.
To account for particle production in relativistic heavy‐ion collisions at the Large Hadron Collider, a relativistic diffusion model with cylindrical symmetry is derived from nonequilibrium–statistical considerations. It propagates an initial state based on quantum chromodynamics in time toward a thermal equilibrium limit.

Moduli induced cogenesis of baryon asymmetry and dark matter [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We study a cogenesis mechanism in which the observed baryon asymmetry of the universe and the dark matter abundance can be produced simultaneously at low reheating temperature without violating baryon number in the fundamental interactions. In particular,

Heavy Elements and Electromagnetic Transients from Neutron Star Mergers

open access: yesAnnalen der Physik, Volume 536, Issue 2, February 2024.
Astro‐(physics) has made major leaps forward through the combined information provided by both gravitational waves and electromagnetic emission from the first detected neutron star merger event. This review provides an up‐to‐date overview of today's understanding of neutron star mergers and their electromagnetic emission and it discusses possible ...
